The mark consists of a shield shape with quetzal head incorporated with a soccer ball. The word AZTECS is at the top and within the shield. The S is on the far left within the shield and the F is on the far right within the shield. The shape of the soccer ball forms the top of the quetzal head. The quetzal has a beak and eyes, with the beak pointing left. A silhouette of a human head emerges from the mouth of the beak. The right side of the quetzal head are feathers in the shape of spikes.
