The mark consists of On the left hand side of the mark, there is a cube, showing three sides. Side one is red with a white image of a person. Side two is yellow with a white image of a checkmark. Side three (top side) is an image of the Maryland state flag, as described in statutory law as follows: § 13-202. Description of State flag (a) In general. -- The State flag is quartered. (b) First and fourth quarters. -- The 1st and 4th quarters are paly of 6 pieces, or and sable, a bend dexter counterchanged. Thus, the 1st and 4th quarters consist of 6 vertical bars alternately gold and black with a diagonal band on which the colors are reversed. (c) Second and third quarters. -- The 2nd and 3rd, quarterly, are argent and gules, a cross bottony countersigned.
