The purpose of the GO FAR (Go Out for a Run) program is to teach and train elementary school-age children the physical and psychological benefits of exercise; The objective of introducing exercise at this young age will not only reinforce regular exercise but also will demonstrate to the children that exercise is fun and that a lifetime of physical activity can help prevent (adult) chronic diseases and obesity;
