The present invention provides a dental hygiene device having an elongated handle defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an opening in the second end. The elongated handle further defines an interior cavity, wherein the interior cavity extends to the opening in the second end. A brush assembly may be coupled to the first end of the elongated handle, and a spring element can be positionable within the interior cavity. The dental hygiene device further provides a cartridge positionable within the interior cavity such that the cartridge abuts the spring element, where the cartridge is able to receive a supply of dental floss.
