  1. In a method and device, an elongate bone is removed from a meat-comprising extremity or part thereof of a slaughter animal. The bone has a first joint end, which forms part of a first joint, and a second joint end, which forms part of a second joint. The bone is taken out of the extremity at the first joint end, a tissue connection between the extremity and the second joint end of the bone substantially being retained.
