The mark consists of the words PYTHON PACKAGE INDEX in stylized form, with the word PYTHON appearing at the top of the mark, with the words PACKAGE and INDEX appearing stacked on top of each other on the bottom right side of the mark, with a chain and crane extending from the lower portion of the letter P in the word PYTHON picking up a block from a pile of blocks appearing on the bottom left side of the mark. The blocks in the design element appear with various degrees of shading, with six of the blocks in the bottom right area appearing primarily lightly shaded and with six of the blocks in the upper left area appearing darkly shaded with the remaining blocks appearing unshaded.
