  1. In telecommunication systems including a terminal and a speech recognizer for vocal commanding, an indication signal originating from the terminal is detected, e.g., a telephone number dialed or a key signal or a vocal signal, or originating from an application located in the terminal or elsewhere in the network and in dependence of the indication signal a capacity parameter for the vocal commanding is adjusted, whereby a flexible capacity parameter is created for adjusting the available bandwidth between terminal and speech recognizer and/or for adjusting a processor capacity of terminal and/or speech recognizer, e.g., a sampling rate or a noise reduction being deactivated, as a result of which name dialing, command and control, and dictation can be done with the highest efficiency.
  2. A method for providing a bookmark in a voice application includes presenting the voice application to a user, allowing the user to access the voice application and provide vocal input to the voice application, creating, upon a user request, a bookmark to a location in the voice application in accordance with vocal input provided to the voice application, and providing the user with access to the bookmark in the voice application in order to return to the bookmarked location.

  4. A method and system for automatic classification of music is disclosed. A music piece is received and analyzed to determine whether the received music piece includes sounds of human singing. Based on the received music piece, the music piece can be classified as singing or instrumental music. Each of the singing music pieces can be further classified as chorus or a vocal solo piece, and the vocal solo pieces can be additionally classified by gender and voice. The instrumental music pieces are analyzed to determine whether the music piece is that of a symphony or that of a solo artist or small group of artists. The classification and storage of music pieces can be user controlled.
  5. The present invention is a computerized image-viewing device that allows the user to sequentially advance or reverse stored images by voice recognition and/or other sounds wherein the voice recognition means is electronically coupled with different colored buttons located on the viewer wherein the buttons electronically illuminate by vocal, sound or computer switch input.
