- A tire storage system is disclosed, for securely storing one or more tires. The tire storage system consists of two identical tire caps and a connecting spacer. One of the tire caps is placed horizontally on a flat surface. The used tire is placed upon one of the tire caps, such that part of the tire cap extends upward through the opening of the tire. The spacer is securely affixed to the tire cap, and generally fills the rest of the tire opening. The other tire cap is placed horizontally over the tire and is also secured to the spacer. The tire storage system seals the inside of the tire from outside access, so as to prevent mosquito breeding and infestation. The tire storage system can be used to stack multiple tires of different sizes, for efficient storage, and can be recycled with the tire at a later time. The tire storage system can be made from or treated with fire-retardant materials, to inhibit unwanted fires.
- Provided are a tire forming mold which enables damage on ribs and blocks of a tire to be effectively prevented when the tire is removed from the tire forming mold in spite of a simple structure thereof, and a pneumatic tire producing method using the same. The tire forming mold according to the present invention is a two-division type of tire forming mold, including a mold main body for forming one side of the tire, wherein the mold main body is provided with a movable part which constitutes a part of a tread forming surface in the direction of the circumference thereof while the tire forming mold is being closed, and which can be moved while the tire is being removed from the tire forming mold.
- Methods and apparatus are provided for determining the cause of tire pressure change. The method includes obtaining a first tire pressure (P1) at a first tire temperature (T1) and obtaining a measured second tire pressure (P2) at a second tire temperature (T2). The tire pressure is then estimated (Pest) at the second tire temperature (T2) and the estimated tire pressure (Pest) is compared to the second tire pressure (P2). A diagnostic message is then generated indicative of the cause of tire pressure change, the diagnostic message being responsive to the comparing of the measured second tire pressure (P2) with the estimated tire pressure (Pest).
- The invention provides a tire vulcanizing apparatus which can reduce time loss and efficiently vulcanize and mold employing a tire loading apparatus for positively loading the green tire, and forming a moving unit in which the tire loading apparatus and the lower mold are integrally connected. The tire vulcanizing apparatus is provided with a tire loading apparatus (2) which loads a green tire (T1) at a tire loading position (X1) and moves the green tire to a tire supplying position (X2), a tire elevating apparatus (5) which elevates at the tire supplying position so as to receive the green tire on the tire loading apparatus and sets the green tire to a lower mold (3), and an upper mold (6) which elevates at a tire vulcanizing position (X3) so as to vulcanize and mold the green tire with respect to the lower mold, the tire loading apparatus and the lower mold simultaneously reciprocate between the respective positions by reciprocating a moving unit (1) in which the tire loading apparatus and the lower mold are integrally connected.
- A vehicle tire deflating apparatus includes a first member, with a tire facing side, and a second member, with a tire facing side spaced from the first member. An interconnecting member locates the first member relative to the second member by a distance sufficient for the first member and the second member to straddle a vehicle tire and, further, holds at least one of the first or second members in a fixed orientation. At least one tire penetrating member is provided at each of the tire facing sides of the first member and the second member for penetrating a vehicle tire when the vehicle tire is located between the first member and the second member and moves toward either of the first member and the second member.
