  1. A unitary machine parsable language for use in data representation and problem solving in knowledge based services having a vocabulary of terms which derive from a natural human language to facilitate ease of comprehension by humans based upon a definition of the context of an item of information. A method of increasing the effectiveness of a knowledge based service consultation comprising splitting the consultation into at least a pre-consultation phase, a consultation phase and a post-consultation phase wherein information collected during earlier phases is electronically checked during the post-consultation phase.
  2. Methods and systems for providing wide-band voice service via a telecommunications switch are described herein. A call can be initiated from a wide-band telecommunications device (e.g., an IP telephone) to another telecommunications device through a gateway (e.g., an IP gateway) associated with one or more telecommunications networks, such as, for example, a WAN, LAN and/or PSTN. One or more digital signals (e.g., 4 or fewer DS0s) can then be reserved for the call, if a telecommunications switch (e.g., a class 5 circuit switch, 5ESSĀ®, etc.) associated with one or more of the telecommunications networks determines that at least one timeslot is available to permit a transfer of the call to the other telecommunications device. Thereafter, a wide-band signal converted from the digital signal carrying the call from the gateway to the other telecommunications device can be passed over a telecommunications interface, such as a GR-303 connection, as determined by the telecommunications switch to the other telecommunications device.
  3. A wireless telecommunications unit is attachable to and detachable from an external unit such as a personal computer, and has a wireless telecommunications apparatus, a microcontroller, and a memory mechanism. The wireless telecommunications apparatus has an identification number for wireless telecommunications, and is for carrying out wireless telecommunications with the outside. The microcontroller is for controlling the wireless telecommunications apparatus and the memory mechanism, it has control functions for the external unit to carry out telecommunications with the outside in accordance with the wireless telecommunications apparatus, to use the memory mechanism as a file system of a designated operating system, when the wireless telecommunications unit is connected to the external unit, and a control function for the wireless telecommunications apparatus to carry out telecommunications using the memory mechanism in accordance with instructions from the external unit or generated in the microcontroller.
  4. A system and method for facilitating information interexchange between a wireless telecommunications system having at least one telecommunications device therein and an information service provider. A Business-to-Business (B2B) engine is connected to the telecommunications system for receiving realtime information related to a telecommunications device within the telecommunications system. This realtime information is provided by the B2B engine to the information service provider, which consequently provides content data to the telecommunications device within the telecommunications system.
  5. A method for providing telecommunications services in a telecommunications network. A telecommunications service provider monitors data relating to communications initiation or termination criteria for at least two communicants in the telecommunications network and initiates or terminates communications between the at least two communicants if, by processing the data, it is determined that the criteria have been met.
