- Propofol solubilised in aqueous micellar preparations of poloxamers is stable at low concentrations and that such preparations are effective administration forms for Propofol.
- Topical preparations for release of an active agent and to methods of making and using the topical preparations are provided. The preparations may have an internal phase dispersed within an external phase. The internal phase may be a hydrophilic carrier and an active agent. The external phase may be a silicone matrix.
- Preparations with deodorizing action are provided. The preparations include the zinc salt of ricinoleic acid; amino-functional amino acids; solubility promoters; organic and/or inorganic acids; and, optionally, water.
- The invention provides compositions, pharmaceutical preparations and methods for inhibition of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator protein (CFTR) that are useful for treating secretory diarrhea. The compositions and pharmaceutical preparations of the invention may comprise one or more thiazolidinone compounds, and may additionally comprise one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, excipients, and/or diluents.
- The compositions described herein comprise oxygenated albumin in an aqueous sterile physiological or serum solution. The albumin is oxygenated to increase the oxygen content up to O2 saturation with clinically useful oxygen gas. The preferred oxygen-saturated preparations, containing albumin in concentrations from about 5% w/v to about 25% w/v, are useful as clinical resuscitation preparations that release oxygen in a pattern similar to the release of oxygen by whole blood.
