- A method of detecting local features of video which includes the steps of: extracting a first static image and a second static image from a video made up of a plurality of static images; calculating a feature quantity of the first static image and a feature quantity of the second static image; detecting the second static image having a feature quantity such that a difference in feature quantity between the first static image and the second static image satisfies a predetermined condition; and displaying the second static image thus detected and the feature quantity difference in one-to-one correspondence.
- One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that facilitates importing static members of a class. During operation, the system examines code associated with a compilation unit to locate a static import declaration that identifies one or more static members of the class to import. Upon finding such a static import declaration, the system records the static import declaration in a symbol table used to compile the compilation unit. This allows the names for the one or more static members of the class to appear within the compilation unit without being prefixed with a name for the class.
- A method and system for outputting data from a computer to an output device, such as a computer, defines a master document in which variable and static data areas are defined. A variable data area is marked and variable data is inserted thereinto to provide a data stream with variable and static data. The marking is used to remove the variable data from the static data. The separated variable and static data is transmitted to the output device such as the printer. The static data is stored at the printer and is not sent to the printer for subsequent documents. - A method and system are provided in which static lists facilitate arbitrary grouping of items of data independent of their locations and in ways that are meaningful to the user. A static list is a set of items defined by a root item, a direction, and the entry relationships with that root item in that direction. The static list also defines the properties that each entry relationship in the list is required to have. Verbs are provided to manage a static list. A verb is an action that may be performed on the items in the static list, and includes, among others, move, copy, add, remove, and delete. A view is provided to specify characteristics for displaying data from a static list, including visibility, order, and formatting, among other characteristics.
- A drum-type rotor carries an annular row of moving blades having root portions held within a slot in the periphery of the rotor. A turbine casing surrounds the rotor and carries a static blade assembly with an annular row of static blades which, together with the annular row of moving blades, constitutes an impulse turbine stage. The static blade assembly has a radially inner static ring confronting a periphery of the rotor with a seal acting therebetween. The static blade assembly has an outer static ring which has a substantially greater thermal inertia and stiffness then the inner static ring and is capable of sufficient radial sliding relative to the casing so as to accommodate relative thermal expansion and contraction of the outer static ring and the turbine casing.
