- A sports-themed game apparatus convertible from a storage configuration to a deployed configuration, and vice versa is disclosed. The sports-themed game apparatus includes a rim and a defense mechanism operable to move from a first position in which the defense mechanism permits a sports implement to pass through the rim, to a second position in which the defense mechanism prevents the sports implement from passing through the rim. The sports-themed game apparatus may further include a return portion configured to return the sports implement to the user after it is propelled/shot toward the rim.
- In a storage system that includes multiple disk drives, the disk drive packaging density is increased, and maintainability and serviceability, as well as cooling performance, are improved. The storage system includes multiple racks, multiple disk drives and multiple cooling devices. The multiple racks are arranged to form a substantially polygonal cylinder-shaped central space used to enable maintenance work to be carried out. Furthermore, an entrance area for a worker to enter the central space is formed between a first rack and a second rack among the multiple racks. The multiple disk drives are detachably mounted to one side of inside and outside of the multiple racks, and are arranged to form a first surface in each of the multiple racks. The multiple cooling devices are arranged to form a second surface in each of the multiple racks. The second surface is substantially parallel to the first surface.
- A dishwasher includes a cabinet having arranged therein a central cavity. Slidably supported within the second cavity are first and second dish support rack systems. The first dish support rack system is defined by first and second upper dish support racks with the first upper dish support rack having a first width and the second dish support rack having a second width, substantially smaller than the first width. The second dish support rack system includes first and second lower dish support racks, each being substantially similar in construction to the first and second upper dish support racks. The dishwasher includes a first wash zone defined by the first upper and lower racks and a second wash zone defined by the second upper and lower racks. A control can selectively direct pressurized wash water through an associated spray arm member to the first and second wash zones either singly or collectively.
- A device for transforming an alternating motion of a piston into a circular motion of a shaft is provided. The device includes an assembly of two pistons connected by two racks alternatively in mesh with a toothed cam set on a shaft. Movement in one direction of the assembly formed by piston and racks, following an explosion in one of the cylinders, causes one of the racks to mesh with the toothed sector and to rotate the shaft. At the end of this meshing period, the cam cooperates with a roller of one of the pistons so as to ensure continuity of the drive. Then, the explosion occurs in the other cylinder causing movement of the assembly in an opposite direction and so meshing of the other rack with toothed cam set, continuing the transformation of power to the shaft.
- A communication system for use by a helmeted rider of power sports equipment which enables the rider to control operating characteristics, such as the operating mode, of a microphone-including arrangement for a two-way radio or public address (PA) equipment while the rider maintains his grip about the handlebars of the power sports equipment for operation thereof. In addition, the microphone-including arrangement is supported entirely by the helmet of the rider, and the communication system does not involve any connecting wires which may otherwise extend between any components of the system which are carried by the rider and any components of the system which are carried by the power sports equipment.
