Technical Examples
  1. To provide a spectacle lens manufacturing system and a method of manufacturing a spectacle lens, as well as a program and a recording medium therefor, that can meet various demands for marking and by which customers can confirm the outer appearance or the like of the spectacle lens. In a spectacle lens manufacturing system, after acquiring mark information and lens information with a terminal, these mark information and lens information are output to a calculation server, and a determination unit of the calculation server determines whether or not marking is possible. If the determination unit determines that it is possible to mark, it is judged whether or not a spectacle lens is manufactured based on a simulation image of the spectacle lens displayed on an image display unit of the terminal, and if it is determined to manufacture the spectacle lens, a processing information-generating unit of the calculation server generates processing information for the spectacle lens.
  2. Methods and apparatuses for an eyeglass case and display are provided. According to one aspect of the present invention, an eyeglass case permitting a consumer to view at least a portion of the eyeglasses is provided. In one embodiment, the eyeglass case is configured to permit a consumer to view the entire eyeglass frame. According to another embodiment, the eyeglass case provides a substantially flat surface permitting the eyeglass case to be rested on its end. According to another aspect of the present a method of and apparatus of displaying eyeglasses that includes a display member that permits a plurality of eyeglasses to be positioned one behind another such that each of the plurality of eyeglasses can be seen without needing to reposition the eyeglasses.
  3. A spectacles set includes a primary spectacle frame and a detachable shelter frame configured for mounting in front of the primary spectacle frame. The detachable shelter frame includes a shelter frame for supporting two auxiliary lenses and a pair of magnetic attaching arrangements connected to the shelter frame. A pair of magnetic adaptor pads are used to attach to the nose support, or near the nose support portion, of the primary spectacle frame, so that the magnetic attaching arrangements can be applied to a primary spectacle frame even though the primary spectacle frame was not originally designed or produced to match with a shelter frame.
  4. A system and method for remotely ordering and purchasing eyeglasses via a network includes a user interface unit, an eyeglass ordering and marketing service center, and a network that connects therebetween. The system includes an eyeglass frame selection unit for selecting eyeglass frames from among a plurality of eyeglass frames in response to user input, a unit for creating display information concerning eyeglass frames, a unit for testing the vision of the user, and an eyeglass lens selection unit for selecting lenses from among a plurality of eyeglass lenses in response to user input. The system also includes an eyeglass ordering and marketing processor wherein the frame selection unit, the vision test unit, and the lens selection unit performing a vision test in response to the requirements of the user. Appropriate eyeglass frames and eyeglass lenses are determined which best fit the user.
  5. A method for assembling a gas turbine engine combustor facilitates reducing costs and time required for assembly. The combustor includes a spectacle plate, a plurality of swirlers, and a plurality of deflector plates. The method includes coupling an assembly fixture to at least one swirler, coupling the assembly fixture to the spectacle plate such that the swirler is maintained in alignment with respect to the spectacle plate during assembly of the combustor, and attaching the swirler to the spectacle plate.
