Technical Examples
  1. A pivoting seat pew or bench furniture, which utilizes the benefits of theater style seating with the functionality and aesthetic of a traditional pew. This seating assembly provides additional seating capacity over traditional pews offering lower seating costs and lower construction costs. This seating assembly also provides modularized seating components so that the seating assembly can be constructed to any desired length without requiring customized construction or components.
  2. A seating accessory for use in combination with the inside surface of the tailgate of a pickup truck. The accessory includes a generally rectangular sheet sized to be positioned over the lowered tailgate surface and defining two side-by-side upwardly opening concave seating surfaces to accommodate side-by-side seated persons. A backrest is associated with each seating surface and is pivotally moveable between an upright position providing back support for a person sitting on the respective seating surface, and a lowered, stowed position within the concavity of the respective seating surface. The seating access is secured to the tailgate using suitable fasteners coacting with the tailgate.
  3. Piece of seating furniture, such as an armchair, includes a basic body on which a seating area is provided. Armrests, such as left and right armrests, are disposed laterally of the seating area. The armrests may be adjusted from a seating position into a lying position in which surfaces of one or more of the armrests form a lying area or a portion of a lying area. In that manner, the piece of furniture may be used for lying down on when the armrests are in there respective lying positions. One or more of the armrests may be pivotably attached to the seating furniture so that the armrests may individually or collectively be adjusted to various positions, so as to provide a variety of seating and lying options for a user of the chair.
  4. Techniques for dynamically distributing short messages include storing action data and parameter data. Action data indicates actions for forwarding a short message and includes an action to bypass a short message service center (SMSC). Parameter data indicates parameters in network protocol headers for a short message. Provider input data is received that indicates a special value set and a special action set. The special value set includes a value for a corresponding special parameter set that includes a parameter from the parameter data. The special action set includes an action to be performed if an actual value set matches the special value set. When a particular short message is received, it is determined whether an actual value set based on the particular short message matches the special value set. If so, then the short message is processed according to the special action set.
  5. A PCI Express device is provided. The PCI Express device includes a symbol lock module that includes a state machine for detecting a special character in a serial bit stream received from a serial/de-serializer, wherein the state machine receives a first special character and verifies alignment of the special character by comparing with a previously stored alignment value and the state machine declares a symbol lock if at least more than one special character alignment matches with a same stored alignment value. The special character is a comma sequence. After a symbol lock is declared, the state machine continues to monitor incoming bit stream data and compares each new special character alignment with the previously stored alignment value. During the monitoring if a misaligned special character is detected, then the state machine waits to receive another special character before declaring a loss of synchronization.
