- A medicine supply apparatus to discharge a medicine into packing paper having a nozzle for discharging a medicine from a tablet case and a shutter rotatably provided in the nozzle for opening/closing a medicine drop path. The shutter includes a first rotatable shutter plate of a size capable of closing the inside of the nozzle, a second shutter plate swingably connected to the tip of the first shutter plate, and a guide for swinging the second shutter plate in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the first shutter plate in a final stage of the medicine discharge while the first shutter plate is opened. The tip of the second shutter plate is located in a position to narrow an outlet of the medicine drop path when the first shutter plate is opened.
- In a camera, a dual-blade shutter has a pair of shutter blades supported for opening and closing movement to uncover and re-cover an exposure aperture, and a shutter driver that projects into respective overlapping slots in the shutter blades and is supported for shutter opening and closing movement. A high impact striker is movable against a strike portion on the shutter driver to initiate shutter opening movement of the shutter driver, then moves beyond the strike portion, and is returnable past the strike tab to be reset. A fixed post projects into an elongate slot in the shutter driver to support the shutter driver for shutter opening and closing movement and to allow the high impact striker to shift the shutter driver out of the way of the high impact striker so that the high impact striker can be returned past the strike tab without causing the shutter blades to be moved open.
- A shutter mounting adjuster provided between a non-vertical peripheral wall of a shutter opening and a hanging strip hinged to a shutter to support the shutter in the shutter opening. A slider movably mounted in a longitudinal groove of the hanging strip of the shutter, and an arched spring strip fixed on the slider for movement with the slider along the longitudinal groove for enaging the non-vertical peripheral wall to postion the hanging strip vertically in the shutter opening.
- A system and method for automatically and accurately determining the exact location of a knife-edge, such as an edge of an optical shutter, so that it can be controlled automatically. In one aspect the system comprises a mechanized shutter coupled to a shutter controller that can automatically control the shutter's location and movement. According to one implementation of the shutter controller the system takes a first image at a first shutter position. The shutter is then moved a predetermined about and a second image is taken. Then, the pixels of each image are added in the direction perpendicular to the movement of the shutter, so as to provide two one-dimension functions. A linear difference of the functions is then taken, so as to obtain a one-dimensional linear difference function. A peak in the linear difference function is then identified as the location of the shutter.
- A modified printer cartridge is disclosed. In one aspect, the modified printer cartridge includes a waste bin including a first location where at least a portion of a shutter fin has been removed; and a new shutter fin attached to the waste bin at a second location, the second location differing from the first location, wherein, before the shutter fin was removed, the shutter fin was positioned to engage a shutter of a first type of printer, and wherein the new shutter fin is positioned to engage a laser shutter of a second type of printer.
