Technical Examples
  1. An occupant restraint system (30) includes first and second lap belts (32 and 34) for collectively extending across a lap of the occupant (22). First and second shoulder belts (36 and 38) extend over the shoulders of the occupant (22). A buckle assembly (58) interconnects the lap belts (32 and 34) and the shoulder belts (36 and 38). The occupant restraint system (30) also includes first and second buckle-lowering belts (94 and 96) attached to the buckle assembly (58) for creating a downwardly acting biasing force on the buckle assembly (58) so as to move the buckle assembly (58) downwardly relative to the seat (10) and towards the lap of the occupant (22).
  2. Pneumatic tires for aircraft service having a belt package with shoulder reinforcement. The tire includes a belt reinforcing structure or belt package having multiple cut belts, multiple spiral wound belt layers positioned radially between the cut belts and the tread, and multiple spiral wound shoulder layers proximate the shoulder. The spiral wound belt layers and the spiral wound shoulder layers are formed by a continuous cord-reinforced strip having a strip width. The spiral wound belt layers are characterized by a first winding pitch of approximately one strip width per revolution and the spiral wound shoulder layers are characterized by a second winding pitch of less than one strip width per revolution. Alternatively, the spiral wound shoulder layers may be formed with a tiered arrangement by shifting the starting location for successive spiral wound belt layers laterally so that the side edges are not coincident.
  3. A belt assembly for securing the sitting and standing positions of an occupant of a vehicle has two lap belts which can be coupled to the vehicle and are brought together at an abdomen-side central buckle and which are swingable in parallel relation to the occupant's body and include retractors. Two length-adjustable body belts extend from the central lock across the torso, shoulders and back of the occupant, and two length-adjustable, loop-like leg belts are connected to length portions of the body belts, with the length portions at least indirectly connected to the lap belts. The body belts have buckle-distal ends which are fastened to the leg belts. The body belts cross at the back of the occupant and are connected there with one another. The belt assembly can be directly connected to a vest which can be suited to the body of the occupant via hook-and-loop fasteners.
  4. A garment hanger includes a hook portion, a neck portion connected to a base end of the hook portion, a pair of shoulder-supporting portions molded integrally with the neck portion and extend from both sides of the neck portion, a shoulder pad connected to each of the shoulder-supporting portions via a hinge portion, and an engaging leg portion and a locking portion to hold the shoulder pad in a folded state so that the shoulder pad covers each of the shoulder-supporting portions. By providing the shoulder pad to be connected to the shoulder-supporting portion via the hinge portion, the shoulder pad, which has the function of preventing shoulders of a garment from being deformed, is integrated. The shoulder pad can be assembled through a one-touch operation by simply folding the shoulder pad at the hinge portion and engaging the shoulder pad with the shoulder-supporting portion.
  5. SEEPS gel and gel foam molded shape articles for use in medical and sport health care, such use include therapeutic hand exercising grips, dental floss, crutch cushions, cervical pillows, bed wedge pillows, leg rest, cushions, mattress, bed pads, elbow padding, dermal pads, wheelchair cushions, helmet liner, cold and hot packs, exercise weight belts, traction pads and belts, cushions for splints, slings, and braces, cushions for the hand, wrist, finger, fore, knee, leg, clavicle, shoulder, foot, ankle, back, rib, soles for orthopedic shoes, and the like.
