Technical Examples
  1. A saddle pad for laying on the back of a riding animal comprises a first side panel, a second side panel and a web from which the first and second side panels hang. The web includes a lengthwise groove configured and arranged to overly the spine of the riding animal, so that the panels resting on the flanks of the riding animal have a greater thickness than the web connecting the first and second panels to one another over the spine, where undersides of the first and second panels that contact the riding animal are made of lambskin.
  2. The string securing apparatus for string instrument of this invention arranges a plurality of saddle-attaching members on the top face of a bridge base in correspondence with strings, and secures them to the bridge base so that they can be movably adjusted in the front-rear direction. A bridge saddle is attached to each saddle-attaching member so as to rotate up and down. The string is inserted through a pipe section in the bridge saddles and led above the bridge saddles by a lever attachment hole; the string is curved forward to a string supporting section. A cam lever is inserted in the lever attachment hole of the bridge saddles so as to freely rotate, and a spring presses the cam lever forward. A cam section of the cam lever pushes the string and secures it by tightening it to the string supporting section.
  3. This novel all-terrain, two-wheeled, riding-board provides a safe operating sport-ride to the user. Two large diameter wheels, one fore and one aft, are provided to improve the safety of this novel riding-board. Each wheel has a resilient elastomeric pneumatic tire mounted on each rim. A dual set of smaller stabilizer wheels are mounted outwardly at the rear of the deck to limit the travel and prevent tipping over. The outboard repositionable stabilizer wheels also serve to function as maneuvering devices, where the rider, by shifting his body weight over one of the stabilizing wheels, can decisively change the direction of his descent, either to the left or to the right. A dual foot operated braking system is provided where the brake on each wheel is individually operated. Alternatively, the riding board is equipped with a dual braking system-a cable driven hand-brake and an automatically operated hill-brake.
  4. A tremolo assembly for a stringed instrument such as a guitar can be used in an instrument comprising a body, a neck and a head. Strings are strung between the head and the tremolo assembly. The tremolo assembly comprises a base plate which is mounted to the body and a tone block which is pivotally attached to the base plate and extends into a cavity in the body. Saddles are attached to a top of the base plate in front of the tone block. The strings are strung over both the saddles and the tone block, and attached to the tone block near a bottom thereof. One or more tone block springs are attached between a lower portion of the tone block and the body. A tension bar is held against the back of a lower portion of the tone block by at least one tension bar spring when the tone block is in a neutral position. Stopping means are provided to prevent the tension bar from urging the tone block forward of the neutral position.
  5. An apparatus for applying liquid liner to the interior of a rocket motor tube includes a horizontal surface; a rail mounted on the horizontal surface; a carriage that is movable along the rail; cartridge saddles and a bearing block mounted on the carriage; a cartridge gun disposed in the cartridge saddles, the cartridge gun including an extended tip that is longer that the rocket motor tube to be lined; a power supply connected to the cartridge gun; a rotary driven linear actuator mounted on the bearing block; a shaft drive mounted on the bearing block in operative association with the rotary driven linear actuator and in contact with a trigger of the cartridge gun; a weighing scale disposed on the horizontal surface; and a V-block disposed on the weighing scale, the V-block for holding the mask mounted rocket motor tube in axial alignment with the extended tip of the cartridge gun.
