  1. A method and apparatus for information labeling and control includes central station equipment which combines a program signal with content labels which separately and continuously identify the audio, video, and data content of the program signal, and user station equipment which generates a local content label identifying program material which is acceptable to the user. By comparing the two labels the user station equipment can block or substitute alternative audio, video, or data for offensive portions of a program signal received through a transmission or stored for playback on various media such as video tapes, audio tapes, CDs, computer disks, optical storage media, and video game cartridges. Exemplary embodiments of the invention also relate to a method and apparatus for creating the local content label.
  2. A combination window covering is constructed to include a headrail, a bottom rail, front and rear ladder tapes respectively vertically connected between the headrail and the bottom rail at front and rear sides, fabric slats arranged in parallel between the headrail and the bottom rail, each slat having two opposite long sides respectively embedded with a rib, which is fastened to the front and rear ladder tapes, fabric light screening flaps respectively suspended from the slats and forming a light screening face at the front side of the slats, and a control unit for operation by the user to lift or lower the bottom rail so as to further receive or extend out the slats, and to move the front ladder tapes and rear ladder tapes of the ladder tapes vertically in reversed directions so as to further tilt the slats.
  3. A method of fabricating a thermal conductive plug of a ceramic substrate of a multi-chip package. A plurality of conductive openings and thermal conductive openings are formed on green tapes. A metal paste is filled into the conductive openings and the thermal conductive openings. The green tapes are stacked together so that the metal paste inside the conductive openings and the thermal conductive openings of every green tape is in contact respectively with its neighboring metal paste within the conductive openings and thermal conductive openings of the green tapes. Cofire those green tapes and the metal paste to form a pre-substrate. The pre-substrate comprises an insulating structure, a plurality of thermal conductive plugs and conductive plugs.
  4. Method and apparatus for playing analog audio in an electronic audio system having multiple audio codecs, only one of which has a direct hardware connection to the analog audio source. First analog audio data is received from the analog audio source at a first audio codec, and converted to digital audio data using the first audio codec. The digital audio data is stored in a memory, and read back from the memory, transferred to a second audio codec. The digital audio data is then converted to second analog audio data using the second audio codec, and output from the second audio codec. An audio controller may be used to store the digital audio data in a loopback buffer within the memory, read the digital audio data from the loopback buffer, and may further be programmed to operate in a prepare loopback state, a loopback running state, and a recording state.
  5. The present invention pertains to novel tapes, tools and seaming systems for creating seams of rolled goods, especially carpeting, using induction heating. The present invention also provides improved seaming tapes for use in resistive heating methods.
