  1. A system and method for routing and segregating cables is provided. An embodiment includes a support member having a plurality of cable trays coupled thereto. The cable trays may be arranged in a tiered-manner such that cable receiving portions of the cable trays extend farther than an adjacent cable tray in a longitudinal direction. Cables may then be routed to individual cable trays, which route the cables to a second location. In this manner, the cables in each cable tray are segregated from cables in other cable trays, thereby reducing the twisting of the cables.
  2. A drawer expander that includes a plurality of trays that are stacked on top of each other. Spring-biased arms connect the trays together so that the trays will open when the drawer is opened and close when the drawer is closed. One form of the drawer expander can be used in a drawer, and another form can be attached to the bottom surface of a support element so the expanding trays can act like drawers that expand when opened.
  3. A method for handling trays for use with an article sorter includes providing a conveying surface along a plurality of sorter units and conveying empty trays along the conveying surface. The empty trays that are being conveyed along the conveying surface are stopped with a tray stopping device that is positioned at least partially below the conveying surface and operable to project a portion of the tray stopping device above the conveying surface to engage and stop an empty tray. The stopped empty trays are moved from the conveying surface to the tray support areas in a direction generally transverse to the conveying surface. The empty trays are at least partially filled at the tray support areas, and the partially filled trays are moved from the tray support area onto the conveying surface.
  4. A method of dispensing food whereby food prepared at a first location is transported to a second location for dispensing in a working cycle characterized by the steps of apportioning the food onto a plurality of trays (20A, 20B) at the first location, loading the plurality of trays (20A, 20B) into a rack (15) to give, in combination, a spaced array of loaded trays; the spaced array having predetermined overall dimensions; transporting the spaced array to an intermediate location, placing the loaded rack into a containment (11) with an internal volume (12) of sufficient size to receive at least one spaced array; transporting the containment along with its spaced array or arrays to the second location; regenerating food in the spaced array while within the containment; dispensing loaded trays (20A, 20B) from the spaced array; and returning the racks (15) back to the first or some other location for re-use. Apparatus for dispensing food comprising a containment (11) adapted to receive at least, one removable rack (15), the rack being adapted to contain at least two removable trays (20A, 20B) for food for regeneration.
  5. A handler for testing semiconductor devices is disclosed which is capable of simplifying the process carried out in an exchanging station, namely, the process of loading/unloading semiconductor devices in/from test trays, and greatly increasing the number of simultaneously testable semiconductor devices. The handler includes a loading station, an unloading station, test trays, an exchanging station comprising a horizontal moving unit for horizontally moving a selected one of the test trays by a predetermined pitch at a working place, a test station in which at least one test board having a plurality of test sockets to be electrically connected with semiconductor devices is mounted, the test station performing a test while connecting the semiconductor devices in one of the test trays, which is fed from the exchanging station to the test station, to the test sockets, device transfer units for transfer the semiconductor devices between the loading station and the exchanging station and between the exchanging station and the unloading station, respectively, and a tray transfer unit for transfer the test trays between the exchanging station and the test station.
