- A system and method are disclosed for constructing a rotatable label and attaching the rotatable label to a container. The rotatable label system comprises an inner label attached to the container and a rotatable outer label. The inner label may have adhesive on a rear surface of a trailing end alone, adhesive on a rear surface of both the leading and trailing end for fixedly attaching it to a container, or adhesive on the entire rear surface. The outer label may only have adhesive on a rear surface at or near a trailing end to secure the outer label to itself. The outer label is temporarily coupled to, the container while the outer label is wrapped around the container. Once the trailing end is attached to a front surface of the outer label at or near a leading end of the outer label, the outer label can be rotated about the container over the inner label. Longitudinal movement of the outer label relative to the container may be restricted by disposing the outer label between top and bottom label panels formed on the container. The outer label is preferably adapted with a transparent portion or window permitting viewing of indicia disposed on the inner label.
- A pallet labeler station for applying a printed label to a loaded pallet at a predetermined label position includes a label printer for printing a label to be affixed to the loaded pallet, a rotatable label applicator mechanism for applying the printed label to the loaded pallet at the predetermined label position and a drive mechanism for moving the label applicator mechanism so as to apply the printed label to the loaded pallet at the predetermined label position. The label applicator mechanism is capable of applying printed labels to two sides of a loaded pallet with each label being applied at a predetermined label position defined for each of the two sides of the loaded pallet.
- The present invention relates to a label or a business form label combination in which the labels have been created by applying multiple zones or coatings. The zones or coatings can have differing thicknesses, coat weight or may use a variety of adhesives. The label is intended for a variety of different industries such as business, marketing, advertising, retail, wholesale, industrial, personal, and the like and more particularly the label is suitable for use in contaminated or difficult to label applications.
- A device and method for handling Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) label stacks. An incoming label mapping (ILM) table is stored in a first memory. A received packet's label stack is accessed, and an entry corresponding to a top label of the stack is read from the ILM table. A number of other entries are also read from the ILM table, and these other entries are cached in a second memory.
- A method for preparing both main label and warning label portions for a container useful in dispensing drugs by a pharmacist in which the main label portion contains specific drug or patient information and the warning label portion contains one or more warnings specific to the drug or patient information includes the steps of providing a backing sheet having the main label portion and the warning label portion releasably adhered thereto, printing the drug or patient information on the warning label during only one printing pass, and then affixing both the main label portion and the warning label portion to a drug container.
