- A method for changing only one radio channel of an existing duplex radio link is wherein the radio channel changed or to be changed is the disturbed radio channel. The new radio channel (Dn) exhibits, for example in comparison with the disturbed radio channel, only a different timeslot wherein, the radio frequency remains the same.
- A method of controlling the performance of a radio link between a base transceiver station and a radio terminal for a wireless transmission system is provided. A radio network controller (RNC) monitors a directly observable L-2 parameter, and determines a without explicit L2-L1 signaling a threshold violation by the L-1 parameter for accordingly triggering a status change of the radio link. Namely, a L-2 radio resource management algorithm prompts the radio terminal and the RNC to perform a radio resource management action whenever the L-1 parameter violates a L-1 threshold. Such an action could be directly downgrading or upgrading the transmission rate on the radio link, or a radio link reconfiguration. The L-1 parameter may be the radio block error rate r, and the L-2 parameter may be the PDU retransmission rate R.
- A control unit 102 of a mobile telephone 10 sets a radio wave mode to ON or OFF, and stores the setting of the radio wave mode internally. ON shows that radio wave transmission is permitted, and OFF shows that radio wave transmission is prohibited. When the stored radio wave mode setting is OFF, radio wave transmission is suppressed even if input such as that for mail transmission is received. By setting the radio wave mode to OFF, functions that do not require radio wave transmission can be used, even in places where radio wave transmission is prohibited.
- A radio apparatus including an outer encasement, a radio signal receiver secured relative to the outer encasement and configured to receive at least one of AM and FM radio signals, an audio output operatively connected to the radio signal receiver, and wherein the audio output may be limited to a predetermined radio signal frequency representing broadcast services of a radio station. The invention further includes a method of promoting radio broadcast services, comprising providing a radio apparatus which includes an audio output, an encasement with at least one promotional element thereon, setting the radio apparatus to provide audio output only for a predetermined radio broadcast frequency related to a source of the radio broadcast services being promoted; and distributing the radio apparatus to one of existing and prospective listeners of the source of the radio broadcast services being promoted, thereby promoting the broadcast services.
- The present invention discloses a radio frequency identification tag apparatus for a tire in a radio frequency identification system (hereinafter, referred to as a 'RFID system'). The radio frequency identification tag apparatus for a tire in a radio frequency identification system, which has a reader for transmitting a strong radio frequency signal to peripheral areas, comprises: a substrate with a plurality of holes having a predetermined shape; a radio chip housed in the substrate, storing the characteristic information of the tire, and operated upon receipt of the radio frequency signal to modulate the characteristic information and output them in the radio frequency signal received from the reader; and an antenna housed in the substrate, having a symmetrically uniform flexion shape relative to the radio chip, receiving the radio frequency signal to provide the same to the radio chip, and receiving the radio signal containing the characteristic information from the radio chip to transmit the same in midair.
