- A commercially available product, of a type having a batting with a softness and flexibility and configured for use in the formation of a quilt, where the quilt has at least one cover to be securably attached to the batting, includes a composite member sold in at least one desirable size for making a quilt and formed of the batting and an adhesive material as an article of manufacture, is disclosed. The batting consists of a fibrous material and the adhesive material includes a water-soluble material and is effective to form a removable bond at the opposing faces of the batting, so that the quilt may be formed by at least temporary attachment of the cover to the batting by the bond and the bond is removable after formation of the quilt.
- A cart handle cover system includes a roll of cart handle covers contained within a dispenser for dispensing the covers from the roll. One or more rolls of covers are rotatingly positioned about a roll support rod inside the dispenser. The dispenser includes a dispensing slot near the top on one side of the dispenser. When the roll of covers is advanced through the dispensing slot, a user can peel one of the covers from the roll for application to a cart handle. Accordingly, a sanitary barrier for protecting customers' hands from potential contaminants on a shopping cart handle can be conveniently provided to customers in a retail store.
- A pressure exchanger for the transfer of pressure energy from a high pressure fluid stream to a lower pressure fluid stream wherein a generally cylindrical housing contains a rotor having a plurality of channels extending axially therethrough and a pair of end covers which slidingly and sealingly interface with respective end faces of the rotor. The end covers are supported against deformation by high pressure upon the end covers in an inward direction, as by exerting a balancing comparable outward axial force upon inward surfaces of the end covers through the employment of pressure-balancing chambers that are in communication with a high pressure fluid region at one end cover.
- An adhesive strapless brassiere used for giving lift to a user's breast has two adhesive breast covers, a connector and a backing layer. Each adhesive breast cover is formed from a thin, pliable sheet and has a main, oblong first portion for covering a breast, and a vertical wing extending upwardly from the outside top edge. The adhesive breast covers are directly attached to a user's body by the adhesive. The connector is mounted between the two adhesive breast covers, and the backing layer is used to attach the adhesive breast covers before use. The adhesive strapless brassiere has a small volume and breathes, so a user will feel comfortable when wearing the brassiere. Furthermore, the adhesive strapless brassiere may be discarded after use.
- A paper fastener has a base piece with a pair of prongs which may be passed through a pair of keyed slots in a top piece and latched to the top piece to hold stacked papers together. Two latching covers hingedly extend from ends of the top piece. The prongs are folded inwardly against the top piece and the latching covers are folded over the prongs, and the prongs and the latching covers are engaged on a top surface of the top piece. Second teeth on downward facing sides of the folded latching covers engage first teeth on upward facing surfaces of the folded prongs, thereby preventing the prongs from sliding back through the keyed slots. The base piece and the top piece are disconnected by first releasing the latching covers, and then releasing the prongs, so that the top piece can be easily removed to add more pages to a stack of papers or to disassemble the stack of papers.
