  1. A system and methods of virtual schooling, which provide an Internet-based elementary and secondary school that is committed to offering a complete and comprehensive education to all pupils. The curriculum used in the system and methods is Web-deployed and database-driven. Its subjects include, but are not necessarily limited to History/Civics/Geography, Language Arts, Math, Music, Science, and Visual Arts. Preferably, lessons should integrate on-line and off-line instructional materials for a well-rounded learning experience.
  2. In a method and computer-implemented system of modular instruction a body of knowledge is divided into cognitive constructs, with instructional materials and post-instruction assessments being associated with each of the cognitive constructs and comprising a learning packet. The instructional material associated with each learning packet is presented to a student, followed by the post-instruction assessment associated with each learning packet. A result of the post-instruction assessment is compared to a pre-defined standard for that learning packet to determine whether the instructional material associated with another learning packet should be presented to the student, or if the instructional material associated with the current learning packet should be presented again to the student. The learning packets can be presented in default sequence or they can be reordered and presented in a user-selected sequence, and all or only a portion of the learning packets can be presented to the student.
  3. An education set used for education of a work including a series of work steps. The education set includes segment diagrams (105a, 105b, 105c) where work directions for executing the series of work steps, work directions including work guide information from which part of information is excluded, or work guide information are shown and subsegment diagrams (106a, 106b, 106c) where the information excluded from the segment diagrams are shown.
  4. A tamper protected printed circuit board assembly including a printed circuit board and a partially enveloping tamper wrap covering the entirety of the top surface of the printed circuit board and a first portion of the bottom surface of the printed circuit board, wherein a second portion of the bottom surface of the printed circuit board is not covered by the tamper wrap is provided. The printed circuit board includes two security trace layers each having two security traces thereon, preferably in a serpentine pattern. The tamper wrap and the security traces together cover and prevent tampering with the electronic circuitry of the printed circuit board.
  5. A manually activated, value-metering system having a method and an apparatus for achieving synchronization, wherein the value metering system uses a digital print head to print a plurality of printed lines, one printed line at a time, on a substrate, which is advanced through a print zone of the print head in a moving direction. A mechanical restraint is used to restrict the movement of the substrate through the print zone such that the substrate is allowed to move a fixed distance after the print head has printed one printed line until the last is printed. The fixed distance is substantially equal to the width of one printed line.
