PORCELAIN RINGS
Technical Examples
- A spark plug is provided which is designed to be compact without sacrificing a mechanical strength of a porcelain insulator. The spark plug includes a metal shell having a base end and a top end. The porcelain insulator is made of a hollow cylinder which includes a body and an insulator head. The body is retained within the metal shell. The insulator head extends from the base end of the metal shell in a lengthwise direction of the porcelain insulator and has a length made up of a major body leading to the body of the porcelain insulator and an end portion lying far away from the body. The major body has an outer diameter D1, an inner diameter D2, and a section modulus Z at a smallest-outer diameter portion thereof which meet relations of 7.1 mm?D1?8.8 mm, D2?2.8 mm, and Z?33 mm
- The rotating-type oven includes a driving device, electrothermal pipes, rollers, holders and a box. The electrothermal pipe is installed in the roller, and the electrothermal pipe is connected with the roller via a porcelain base and a plug. The porcelain base is fastened on the holder. The rotating-type oven of the present invention has the characteristics of being able to bake food rapidly, having a stable operation, and being easy to disassemble for cleaning.
- Wafer area pressure rings used to confine plasma in plasma processing chambers which are manufactured with bores therein such that replacement of the pressure rings during routine or repair maintenance is significantly eased. The bores allows the pressure rings to be installed by simply aligning the bores under hanging adapters which are connected to the ceiling of the chamber, lifting the rings such that the hanging adapters enter the ring, turning or twisting the entire apparatus a miniscule amount, and then lowering the ring apparatus on the hanging apparatus, thereby locking the rings in place.
- A surgical wound retractor is adapted to dilate a wound to a desired diameter. The retractor includes first and second rings, each having a diameter greater than that desired for the wound. The first and second rings are adapted for disposition interiorly and exteriorly of the wound, respectively. A plurality of retraction elements is disposed in a generally cylindrical relationship between the first and second rings and extends through the wound to exert a radial retraction force on the wound that is dependent on the distance separating the first and second rings. Retraction elements, both distensible and non-distensible, are contemplated with appropriate attachment elements at the rings to provide for variations in the retraction force. With a suitable retraction sleeve, a third ring can be provided to form a circumferential retainer to vary the retraction force. Rings can also be made inflatable or self-expanding to vary the retraction force.
- A disc brake for a motor vehicle having at least two axially stationary friction rings being connected to a rotatable hub. The disc brake comprises several brake pads cooperating with the associated friction rings during a braking operation. A favorable structural overall design of the disc brake is achieved by a brake caliper straddling all friction rings and the associated brake pads and including a first actuating device in a brake caliper portion that extends axially beside the friction rings, and a second actuating device that is arranged between two friction rings and acting axially on both sides. Said actuating device acts on the brake pads arranged between two friction rings and is arranged so as to be displaceable relative to the brake caliper.
