  1. The present invention is a hinge repair tool constructed from two, spaced apart pairs of modified vise grip or wrench pliers. A single, elongated, upper bar is connected to the respective top jaws of each of the pairs of pliers. Two lower bars are also connected to respective lower jaws of the two pairs of pliers. Each of the pairs of pliers is operative independently of one another, so that each of the respective lower bars can be repositioned relative to the common upper bar. The lower bars are separated from one another and a gap is formed therebetween. A rigid bar is connected to the handles of the two pairs of pliers to provide additional stability. The vise grip pliers each include a mechanism for locking the lower jaw relative to the upper jaw thereof.
  2. Gripping pliers consisting of a jointed clamp and handle. The clamp contains a longitudinal slot with longitudinal apertures defining first and second detent positions. In the first position, the joint is movable whereas in the second position, the joint is locked. The handle is rotatably mounted on a bearing ring which permits fine adjustment of the opening width of the pliers.
  3. Pliers for installing a bushing within a drive selector linkage assembly of an automobile. The pliers include a first arm having a first handle portion and a holder portion. The holder portion is configured to independently hold a bushing to be installed within a drive selector linkage assembly of an automobile. The pliers also include a second arm pivotally mounted to the aforementioned first arm and have a second handle portion and a gripping portion. The gripping portion is configured to apply a force to the bushing suitable to install the bushing within the drive selector linkage assembly of the automobile when the first and second handles of the first and second arms, respectfully, are pivotally operated.
  4. A lighting device for use in combination with a nail clipper and cutting pliers is disclosed. The lighting device comprises a casing defining an angular front wall having an electric power source, a switch and a light-emitting element all integrally assembled and electrically connected within the casing. A radiation surface is mounted within the angular front wall for transmitting illumination light emitted from the light-emitting element wherein means for removably attaching the casing to either the nail clipper or cutting pliers are provided whereby the angle defined by the front wall positions the illumination light emitted from the light-emitting element for illuminating a blood vein or nerve through the animals nail such that the user does not strike or nick the blood vein or nerve during a cutting operation.
  5. Tongue and groove pliers include a first member having a slot, and a second member connected to the first member by a pin in the slot. The first member has a plurality of arcuate ribs defining open ended grooves on the side adjacent to the second member. The second member has a tongue on the side facing the first member. The tongue fits in a selected groove to adjust the spacing between opposing jaws on the respective first and second members. The pliers have at least one visual alignment feature to align the tongue with a desired groove. The alignment feature can be readily visible marks indicating locations of the tongue and/or grooves.
