- A method of manufacturing transparencies reduces light scattering in a projection transparency formed with an electrostatically deposited color image. The method comprises:
- A concrete lid for an in-ground utilities box includes a plastic reinforcement structure filled with concrete. The plastic reinforcement structure includes one or more plastic sidewalls that protect the edges of the lid from damage. The upper and lower surfaces of the lid are exposed concrete (with the exception of the upper and lower edges of the one or more plastic sidewalls). The one or more plastic sidewalls laterally surround a plastic reinforcement grid, which is centrally located between the upper and lower edges of the one or more plastic sidewalls. The one or more plastic sidewalls can be integrally formed with the plastic reinforcement grid. The plastic reinforcement grid reinforces the concrete lid, eliminating the need for separate reinforcement material. Support struts can be used to support the plastic reinforcement grid while wet concrete is being poured into the plastic reinforcing structure.
- Packaging assembly method and systems include the use of a plastic substrate and one or more compliant fasteners, which can be connected to the plastic substrate, such that the compliant fastener provides an electrical connection to one or more electrical components. A plastic leadframe can therefore be formed, which is based upon the plastic substrate and the compliant fastener for attachment to other electrical components. The plastic substrate itself can function as a plastic trace or plastic substrate trace, and can be formed from plastic material such as thermoplastic or a thermoset material. The compliant fastener itself can be pushed into the plastic substrate at a connection point thereof for attachment of the compliant fastener to the plastic substrate. The connection point can be formed in the plastic substrate as one or more round holes, slots, rectangular holes or complex shapes. An interface is therefore for med between the plastic trace and the compliant fastener.
- A manufacturing method of a plastic laminate body, the plastic laminate body having at least one plastic laminate member that is laminated on a plastic substrate, which plastic substrate is pre-processed in advance so as to have a substantially final configuration, the manufacturing method includes softening the plastic laminate member when a transfer surface of a mold member, which is pre-processed in advance so as to have a desired configuration, is transferred to a surface of the plastic laminate member, so that an excessive part of the plastic laminate member is moved to an escape part which is pre-formed at the plastic substrate.
- The invention relates to a coating for insulation material, which coating comprises a metal layer, such as an aluminum layer, and a plastic layer. The plastic layer contains plastic that crystallises when heated. The plastic can more particularly be a polyamide.
