- A system and methods of virtual schooling, which provide an Internet-based elementary and secondary school that is committed to offering a complete and comprehensive education to all pupils. The curriculum used in the system and methods is Web-deployed and database-driven. Its subjects include, but are not necessarily limited to History/Civics/Geography, Language Arts, Math, Music, Science, and Visual Arts. Preferably, lessons should integrate on-line and off-line instructional materials for a well-rounded learning experience.
- Disclosed is a method, system, and program for generating network performance data. Performance information including a performance time to download a page and execute the page within an application program is received. The received performance information is processed and then performance information output indicating network performance is generated in response to processing the performance information.
- The invention provides tester load board shields (10, 40) for attachment to tester load boards. The shields (10, 40) of the invention protect from physical damage and electromagnetic interference. A preferred embodiment of a tester load board shield (10) of the invention is disclosed in which a disc (12) and outer rim (14) of conductive metal such as aluminum or aluminum alloy are configured to accept a tester load board. The tester load board shield (10) has holes (18) to align with a selected tester load board for attachment of the shield (10) thereto. Stanchions (22) are provided to facilitate attachment of the Loadboard with shield (10) to automatic test equipment known in the arts while a tester load board, also familiar in the arts, is fastened to the shield (10). Another embodiment of a tester load board shield (40) is disclosed in the shape of annulus (42) configured to contain a tester load board within an outer rim (44), planar surface (46), and inner rim (50). Vents (28) or ventilation slots (58) are also provided in preferred embodiments of shields (10, 40) of the invention in order to permit the escape of heat.
- A backlight module installs a light guide plate, a plurality of optical films, and a liquid crystal display panel in order on an emergent plane of a light source, wherein the light guide plate forms more than one hollow layer within an incident side to an effective light emitting area, such that the hollow layer of the light guide plate changes the light path of the light of the light source to effectively distribute and evenly emit the light towards each optical film. As a result, the dark band in each light source can be eliminated, the issue of having dark and bright bands according to the prior arts can be overcome effectively, and the light performance including luminance and evenness can be enhanced.
- A method, apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed for sampling all performance event signals generated by a processor. A performance monitor is included in the processor. The performance monitor receives performance event signals from the processor. These performance event signals indicate the current full event state of the processor. A limited number of counters are provided in the performance monitor for counting only a selected subset of the performance event signals. An event register is provided in the performance monitor that intercepts the performance event signals prior to the subset of the performance event signals being counted. The performance event signals are stored together as a single unit in the event register. The unit is a full set of available performance event signals that indicate the current full event state of the processor.
