  1. A device for delivering a medicated product into a bodily cavity includes a barrel member having a dispensing end, a proximal end, which is positioned opposite the dispensing end, and a bore, which extends through the barrel member. The bore is sized and shaped so as to receive a medicated product therein and includes an opening formed in the dispensing end of the barrel member. The opening is sized and shaped so as to permit a medicated product received in the bore to be dispensed therethrough. The applicator is also provided with a plunger member movably extending through the bore of the barrel member for dispending a medicated product from the bore through the opening. The barrel member includes at least one substantially flexible section located between the dispending end and the proximal end such that the barrel member is bendable about the flexible section.
  2. Provided are a face recognition apparatus and method in which a facial image is divided into facial component images. The apparatus includes a component division unit that divides an input facial image into a plurality of facial component images; a face descriptor generating unit that generates face descriptors using a transform matrix corresponding to the respective facial component images, the face descriptors being characteristic vectors; a registered face descriptor database (DB) that stores registered face descriptors; and an authentication unit that authenticates the input facial image by comparing face descriptors for the input facial image input from the face descriptor generating unit with the registered face descriptors and providing predetermined weights corresponding to each facial component to the comparison results of each facial component.
  3. A method of digital creation of a multivision filter effect. The method includes the steps of initializing a plurality of layers and masks corresponding to the layers, wherein the layers and masks have the same dimensions as a picture, and each of the layers has pixel information of the picture, translating the layers and masks to positions determined according to user input, determining pixel values of each of the masks according to the positions thereof, and merging the layers to which the corresponding masks are applied.
  4. A face model having outer and inner facial features is matched to that of first and second models. Each facial feature of the first and second models is represented by plurality of points that are adjusted for each matching outer and inner facial feature of the first and second models using 1) the corresponding epipolar constraint for the inner features of the first and second models. 2) Local grey-level structure of both outer and inner features of the first and second models. The matching and the adjusting are repeated, for each of the first and second models, until the points for each of the outer and inner facial features on the respective first and second models that are found to match that of the face model have a relative offset there between of not greater than a predetermined convergence tolerance. The inner facial features can include a pair of eyes, a nose and a mouth. The outer facial features can include a pair of eyebrows and a silhouette of the jaw, chin, and cheeks.
  5. A system and method for capturing motion comprises a motion capture volume adapted to contain at least one actor having body markers defining plural body points and facial markers defining plural facial points. A plurality of body motion cameras and a plurality of facial motion cameras are arranged around a periphery of the motion capture volume. The facial motion cameras each have a respective field of view narrower than a corresponding field of view of the body motion cameras. The facial motion cameras are arranged such that all laterally exposed surfaces of the actor while in motion within the motion capture volume are within the field of view of at least one of the plurality of facial motion cameras at substantially all times. A motion capture processor is coupled to the plurality of facial motion cameras and the plurality of body motion cameras to produce a digital model reflecting combined body and facial motion of the actor. At least one microphone may be oriented to pick up audio from the motion capture volume.
