Technical Examples
  1. A mini PCI module includes a mini PCI card and a mini PCI slot for the mini PCI card to be inserted into. The mini PCI card includes 124 signal pins and an antenna pin set. The mini PCI slot includes 124 signal connection ends corresponding to the 124 signal pins, and an antenna connection end set corresponding to the antenna pin set for electrically connecting to an antenna set.
  2. A mini secure digital (SD) card connector includes an insulation body, a movable cover and a plurality of insertion terminals. The insulation body has a plurality of channels to receive insertion terminals and at least one jam bulge arranged in the front end of the insulation body to wedge with front side of a mini SD card. The movable cover covers on the top of the insulation body. The movable cover is formed by a pressure plate, two side plates and a folded panel formed on the middle of the pressure plate. When a mini SD card is inserted the mini SD card connector, the mini SD card connector provides at least one jam bulge to lock the front side of the mini SD card, so that the signal contact portion of the mini SD card is locked correctly and firmly in the mini SD card connector.
  3. This invention provides a new architecture for a communication system between head-ends and end-users which expands bandwidth and reliability of the communication system. A mux-node receives communication signals from a head-end and forwards the received communication signals to one or more mini-fiber nodes. The connection to the head-end is via a small number of optical fibers and the connections to each of the mini-fiber nodes may be via one or more optical fibers that may provide full duplex communication. The head-end may communicate with the mux-node using digital or digital and analog signals. The mini-fiber nodes may combine the signals received from the head-end with loop-back signals used for local media access control prior to forwarding the signals to the end-users. Upstream data are received by the mini-fiber nodes and transmitted to the mux-node. The mux-node may route upstream communication signals received from the mini-fiber nodes as downstream signals to other mini-fiber nodes also connected to the mux-node without head-end interaction.
  4. A disc storage unit includes a case, a tray supported by the case and configured to support an array of discs in respective parallel vertical planes across which respective coaxial axes of the discs pass horizontally. There is a disc-raising mechanism having a finger activatable to lift one of the discs from the tray within its respective plane to thereby render that disc non-coaxial with other discs that might be supported by the tray. The storage unit also includes an indexing mechanism that is configured to cause the disc-raising mechanism to raise others of the discs in a like manner. This enables labels of the raised discs to be viewed for selection by a user.
  5. The sheet shredder includes a cutter block pair equipped with plural cutter discs arranged in parallel with each other at a specified distance, cutting units to cut sheets by rotating the cutter discs of the cutter block pair in the different directions respectively, guide plates to guide cut pieces of sheets cut by the cutter discs in the specified direction, and grooves provided at the sides opposite to the cutter discs of the guide plates to lead out stickum adhered to the cutter discs or the guide plates pursuant to the sheet cutting operation.
