  1. Disclosed is a method of realizing a link access control protocol for IP M/B packet transmission in a mobile communication network. The method of the invention comprises the steps of: receiving by an LAC of a BTS/BSC an Internet IP M/B packet transferred via a BSC/PCF from an Internet host and a multicasting server, storing the Internet IP M/B packet into an internal buffer, and segmenting the Internet IP M/B packet into a radio packet frame size; adding sequence numbers to the segmented radio packet frames and transmitting a CIBP SDU into a mobile terminal; and assembling, in the mobile terminal, the CIBP SDU for the received radio packet frames and forming the IP M/B packet, and transferring the formed IP M/B packet into an upper layer.
  2. An XM radio system, a browser plug-in for bidirectional communication in the XM radio system, and method for bidirectional communication between an XM radio receiver, a first computing device and a second computing device is provided. The XM radio system includes an XM radio receiver communicatively connected to a first computing device, a second computing device communicatively connected to the first computing device and a computer program stored on the first computing device. Unresolved bookmarks are transferred from the first computing device to second computing device via the Internet and the resolved bookmarks are bidirectionally communicated from the second computing device to the first computing device via Internet and does not trigger a fire wall.
  3. The invention is a computerized mobile robot with an onboard internet web server, and a capability of establishing a first connection to a remote web browser on the internet for robotic control purposes, and a capability of establishing a second short range bi-directional digital radio connection to one or more nearby computerized digital radio equipped devices external to the robot. The short-range bi-directional digital radio connection will typically have a maximum range of about 300 feet. In a preferred embodiment, this short-range wireless digital connection will use the 2.4 gHz band and digital protocols following the IEEE 802.11, 802.15, or other digital communications protocol. By employing the proper set of external short-range digital radio devices capable of interfacing with the robot (such as sensors, mechanical actuators, appliances, and the like), a remote user on the internet may direct the robot to move within range of the external devices, discover their functionality, and send and receive commands and data to the external devices through the CGI interface on the robot's onboard web server.
  4. A method for changing only one radio channel of an existing duplex radio link is wherein the radio channel changed or to be changed is the disturbed radio channel. The new radio channel (Dn) exhibits, for example in comparison with the disturbed radio channel, only a different timeslot wherein, the radio frequency remains the same.
  5. Disclosed is an Internet FAX apparatus which, after receiving an Internet address from a certain destination, can communicate with the same destination in later transmission or during communication by connecting to a LAN and switching to an Internet FAX mode requiring no communication charge. An Internet facsimile apparatus on the receiving side transmits its Internet facsimile function and Internet address on an NSF signal in a standard protocol of G3 facsimile transmission and/or transmits its telephone number, Internet facsimile function, and Internet address on TSI and NSS signals in the standard protocol of G3 facsimile communication. The Internet facsimile apparatus registers an Internet facsimile function and Internet address of a partner apparatus as destination data. The Internet facsimile apparatus communicates with the partner apparatus by using the Internet address in the destination data in later transmission or by disconnecting ordinary facsimile mode communication and switching to the Internet FAX mode.
