- Authenticating a user operating an un-trusted access device includes causing the display, on the un-trusted access device, of a plurality of photographs to the user, at least one of the photographs being from the user's personal photograph collection and already familiar to the user, remaining photographs being decoy photographs, accepting an input selection from the user identifying one of the displayed photographs, and allowing access when the user's selection correctly identifies a sequence of displayed photographs from the user's photograph collection. No user training prior to using the authentication system is needed and no pre-selection of a password or photograph is necessary.
- A stand-alone printing apparatus for transferring one or more digital photographs captured by a digital device to a printable medium. The printing apparatus includes an input member for receiving the digital photographs from a source and image processing for generating an image corresponding to each of the digital photographs. A graphical user interface with video display is integrated within the printing apparatus and includes a plurality of different states in which to preview the digital photograph images, select photographs for printing, and preview a printed page of selected photographs.
- An automated studio and control system for taking photographs is disclosed that alleviates many exposure problems and simplifies variables with which the photographer must deal in order to achieve consistent high quality photographs. The studio includes a multi-light portrait lighting system, a subject location verification system and a system for varying backgrounds, all of which are tied to an integrated control system and synchronized to a camera.
- A structural element system for the construction industry has post sections, framed flat elements, holding sections, and seals, wherein, for thermal insulation of the post sections and the framed flat elements, the holding sections are attached on the post sections, wherein the framed flat elements are attached to the holding sections, and wherein the seals together with the post sections form chambers. In the mounted state of the structural element system, the holding sections are enclosed in the chambers. The post section is a box section having at least one rectangular box for securing the holding sections, respectively, wherein the rectangular box has on two parallel outer sides at least two holding lips for securing the holding sections or a connecting member. The system can be used to erect curtain facades, facade linings, transparent roofs, sunrooms, soundproofing walls, fair buildings, carports and the like.
- A portable instantaneous wireless event based photo identification and alerting security system ideally suited for mobile protection of property, spaces and people, and for protection in motor vehicles, residences, businesses and other commercial locations, either as a stand alone system or as an addition in whole or in part to existing security systems, when an intruder enters into personal spaces, detection devices determine the intruder's presence and digital photographs are immediately taken, and securely transmitted to pre-determined recipients that may include an owner-operator, apprehending authorities or others. Time and date are annotated to these photographs. Furthermore, an audio message is sent to the owner-operator, apprehending authorities or others that the intrusion is occurring, also annotating this information with time and date, thus enabling an opportunity to respond immediately to the intrusion. If desired, a local audio message at the intrusion location may announce to the intruder that detection has been made and or that photographs have already been taken and securely transmitted.
