- A set of turbine rotor blades is arranged on a rotor disk. Each rotor disk has blade profile, root parts which is fitted axially in an axial disk groove formed circumferenctially in the rotor disk, and an integral cover formed at the outer edge of the blade profile part. A front end surface, faced in a direction the rotor disk rotates, of the integral cover is inclined to a direction in which the root part of the turbine rotor blade is fitted in the disk groove of the rotor disk. The sum of circumferential lengths of the integral covers is greater than a circle at which the integral covers are joined to the blade profile parts. Adjacent integral covers are brought into contact with each other by the blade profile parts that are twisted when root parts of the turbine rotor blades are fitted axially in the disk grooves.
- To provide an object detecting device having a capability of sufficiently adjusting the detection areas to suit to the environment in which it is installed, the object detecting device includes an antenna AT for emitting a detecting beam to the detection areas and receiving a portion of the detecting beam which has been reflected from the detection areas, and adjusting covers 6 and 7 covering a front portion of the antenna AT and operable to adjust respective figurations of the detection areas. The adjusting covers 6 and 7 are selectively fitted one at a time to the front portion of the antenna AT for defining a different figuration of the detection areas. When one of the adjusting covers, that is, the cover 6 that is formed with a pair of cutouts 63 and 63 for suppressing the side lobe of the detecting beam is selectively used, the detection areas can be defined having no unnecessary detection areas.
- A cart handle cover system includes a roll of cart handle covers contained within a dispenser for dispensing the covers from the roll. One or more rolls of covers are rotatingly positioned about a roll support rod inside the dispenser. The dispenser includes a dispensing slot near the top on one side of the dispenser. When the roll of covers is advanced through the dispensing slot, a user can peel one of the covers from the roll for application to a cart handle. Accordingly, a sanitary barrier for protecting customers' hands from potential contaminants on a shopping cart handle can be conveniently provided to customers in a retail store.
- A bedding assembly including at least one fitted sheet having a head end and a foot end for covering a mattress at least one flat sheet having a head end and a foot end for covering said fitted sheet, and stitches connecting the fitted sheet to the flat sheet along at least one edge of the foot end of the fitted sheet.
- A pressure exchanger for the transfer of pressure energy from a high pressure fluid stream to a lower pressure fluid stream wherein a generally cylindrical housing contains a rotor having a plurality of channels extending axially therethrough and a pair of end covers which slidingly and sealingly interface with respective end faces of the rotor. The end covers are supported against deformation by high pressure upon the end covers in an inward direction, as by exerting a balancing comparable outward axial force upon inward surfaces of the end covers through the employment of pressure-balancing chambers that are in communication with a high pressure fluid region at one end cover.
