Technical Examples
  1. A camera assembly includes an endcap assembly for closing off the bottom end of a second film chamber, which is sized to selectively receive a roll of film or a secondary film cartridge housing a roll of film. The endcap assembly can include a movable shutter blade enclosed between two plates. The endcap assembly can be removably secured to the camera assembly. At least a portion of the endcap assembly can be formed with the camera assembly. Embodiments further relate to a method of loading such cameras, especially in the daylight. The method involves bringing a sleeve into light-tight engagement with the endcap assembly and then inserting a winding rod through the sleeve and the endcap assembly and into a second film chamber of the camera. The winding rod can then be used to wind film out of a cassette in the first chamber and into a roll in the second chamber.
  2. A system and method for obtaining photographic products and/or services comprises bundling image capture and printing technologies into products and/or services that are paid for by a consumer with monthly or yearly subscription fees. The system and method involves selecting a camera and selecting a photographic products/service plan which designates photographic products and/or services which are to be associated with the selected camera. The system and method gives the consumer the option of selecting a specific camera from a menu of cameras, and a specific photographic product/service plan which is to be associated with the selected camera from a product/service menu. As a further option, the consumer can customize his/her product/service plan in accordance with his/her preference. The plan can provide for products and/or services for images captured and/or film exposed by the camera for a predetermined amount of time at a predetermined fee. At the end of the plan, the consumer could have the option of returning the camera, exchanging the camera for a different camera, or keeping the camera at no cost or for a reduced price. The photographic products and/or services provided by the plan could be products and/or services such as film developing, printing, image products, scanning, photo CDs, image storage, etc.
  3. An SiC film, a porous silica film as an interlayer dielectric film, another SiC film, an SiO2 film, an SiN film, and an antireflection film are formed in this order on an interlayer dielectric film and Cu film. The antireflection film is coated with an organic photosensitive ArF resist, and the resist is exposed and developed to form a resist mask in which a wiring trench pattern is formed. A trench is then formed in the porous silica film, the latter SiC film, the SiO2 film, and the SiN film. Plasma processing using a hydrogen-containing gas is performed on the side surfaces of the porous silica film, thereby forming a modified layer. The exposed portion of the former SiC film is etched away to allow the trench to reach the Cu film.
  4. A camera incorporates a working memory (124) for storing a working image corresponding to the last captured image. The working image is displayed on a display screen (36) in a quick review mode of operation in response to a quick review signal entered by the camera operator via a camera control interface (74) to control processing circuitry (68,72) of the camera. The processing circuitry controls the display screen to keep it in an inactive state until the quick review signal is entered, and returns it to an inactive state after a predetermined time period or when the quick review signal is discontinued to conserve energy. In addition, the working image is displayed in the quick review mode regardless of whether a non-volatile memory is available in the camera or, in the case of a hybrid camera, whether a film cartridge is contained in a film chamber (98) of the camera.
  5. A lamp for an underwater camera to illuminate and photograph or film objects in the macrorange including a minimum of three LED diodes that emit white light which are arranged concentrically and at the same distance from each other around, and at a specific angle to, the optical axis of an underwater camera. An annular lamp holder may be used or the lamps may be directly integrated into the housing of the camera.
