- The present invention is to an integrated end-to-end system and process composed of numerous application systems and subsystems (applicable in total or in subparts) which enables parties (such as businesses, buildings, prisons, governments, etc.) to acquire information (biometric and textual) regarding an applicant requesting entry, verify the acquired information-checking it against defined (e.g., government enforcement agencies) offender lists, and utilizing the acquired information at defined points in the process to track individuals. Further, the system preferably includes mandatory, scheduled check-ins to ensure compliance with the visitation requirements during the stay by the party in the sponsoring facility, country, business, etc.
- The invention refers to a new process for the production of purification of high purity plasmid DNA. The process comprehends: a) the production of cells containing plasmid DNA, b) the disruption of the cells in order to obtain a lysate containing plasmid DNA, c) a concentration step by precipitation with isopropanol, d) a pre-purification and conditioning step by the addition of ammonium sulphate, e) a purification step using hydrophobic interaction chromatography, f) a final concentration and/or buffer exchange step. The process is scaleable, it does not use enzymes or mutagenic agents and it enables the preparation of plasmid DNA with pharmaceutical grade, which complies with the requirements of regulatory agencies. - The present invention generally relates to an illuminated license plate and/or a license plate cover and/or frame. More specifically, the invention includes an illuminated license plate and or license plate cover or frame which may be used to indicate the breaking or turning of a vehicle. - The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for collecting, storing and communicating vending machine transaction data. The system preferably includes an embedded data collection and storage device that, when placed inside a vending machine, will collect both DEX and MDB data using a combination of ad-hoc scheduling and trigger-based events. In addition, the embedded data collection and storage device may collect transaction data concerning handheld transactions as well as vending machine error transactions, including timestamps. Functionality operable to permit handheld computer communication with the vending machine, as well as at least a cashless media transaction device may also be included. Data transferred to the handheld computer may be subsequently communicated to one or more host applications or credit agencies.
