- The invention concerns a power transmission device between a heat engine (1) and the wheels (2) of a motor vehicle, said device comprising two independent electric machines (3, 4), at least two planetary gear trains (5, 15, 25, 35; 6, 16, 26, 36) connecting the heat engine and the electric machines with one another and to the vehicle wheels, a mechanical switching device (7) shifting the transmission device from one operating mode to another, each transmission mode corresponding to a different range of transmission ratios, the switching device enabling to connect one of the electric machines directly to the vehicle wheels and a control device monitoring the heat engine (1), the two electric machines (3,4) and the mechanical switching device (7), so that the operating points of the heat engine and of the electric machines correspond to the minimum instantaneous consumption and enable to provide the required power to the wheels.
- A self coordinated machine network is established by two or more machines in proximity with each other via a wired or wireless network infrastructure. The machines are configured to establish an ad hoc network between themselves for sharing information related to their common applications. New machines that come into proximity of the network infrastructure are configured to join an existing ad hoc network. Machines that power down or are removed from proximity of the network infrastructure are eliminated from the ad hoc network. Communications between the constituent machines of the ad hoc network allow the machines to self coordinate the network and redundantly store information pertaining to the common and disparate applications of the various machines that comprise the self coordinated machine network.
- A fixing element is provided for fixing a household appliance to a part of the kitchen cabinetry, which is adjacent to the household appliance. The fixing element is configured as a fixation lug and is disposed between the household appliance and the part substantially at least over the total height of the part of the kitchen cabinetry. A compact fixing element is thus obtained, which permits a precise, stable, easy and economic fixation of the household appliance into an opening in the kitchen cabinetry. Another advantage of the lateral fixing element is the clean and pleasant aspect thereof. Moreover, flexible use of only one type of fixing element is possible, due to the fact that the element can be used independently of the counter top material as well as in case of elevated mounting of the appliance or in case of a cutout counter top.
- An outer wall is created for an electrical kitchen appliance and has a formation of recesses defining strips. A button is disposed on the strips. Regions embodied as film hinges are provided between the strips, enabling them, and thus the button disposed in-between the same, to pivot, in order to actuate an electrical button or a switch inside the housing of the kitchen appliance.
- An apparatus for applying powder coating material onto large objects such as automotive, truck or other vehicle bodies includes a powder spray booth defining a controlled area within which to apply powder coating material onto the vehicle bodies, a powder kitchen located at a remote position from the powder spray booth, and, a number of feed hoppers located proximate the booth which receive powder coating material from the powder kitchen and supply it to automatically or manually manipulated powder spray guns associated with the booth. Oversprayed powder coating material is removed from the booth interior by a powder collection and recovery system which transmits the oversprayed powder back to the powder kitchen for recirculation to the powder spray guns.
