Technical Examples
  1. A disc player 10 which moves a disc stopper 55 controlling the movement of a drawn disc 1 and clamps and chucks the disc on a turntable, wherein the disc stopper is designed so that is it positioned in a positioning position where the disc and the turntable are positioned concentric with each other and in a retracted position where the disc stopper is spaced from the disc clamped and chucked to a turntable.
  2. The present invention relates to an AGC circuit, a AGC circuit gain control method, and a program for the AGC circuit gain control method, and may be applied to IC recorders, for example, as a portable recording/reproducing device, in order to ameliorate problems of listening to talk, music and the like during playback from IC recorders. In the invention, a signal level L1cyc is detected in units of the period of an input signal, and a recovery time constant r is switched on the basis of a decision as to the signal level L1cyc based on an average shift Lavg of the signal level L1cyc.
  3. An optical disc player discriminates an attribution of tracks recorded onto a disc inserted in the player, and normally reproduces MP3 tracks recorded onto discs inserted into a plurality of disc drivers using an MP3 decoder. Also, according to a method of reproducing an optical disc, the optical disc player discriminates a kind of an inserted disc as an audio file disc, an MP3 file disc, or a general data file disc and normally performs a reproducing operation for the files or music recorded onto the inserted disc.
  4. A toroidal type continuously variable transmission, in which an input disc and an output disc are arranged on the common axis with being opposed to each other in the rotatable condition, and in which the rolling member is arranged between the input disc and the output disc, so as to transmit a torque between said input disc and said output disc through said rolling member, by applying the clamping force to said input disc and said output disc in said axial direction, characterized by comprising a clamping force controller for controlling the clamping force to be applied to said input disc and said output disc based on a physical quantity relevant to heat stress of said rolling member.
  5. A disc cartridge includes a cartridge body having a disc storage portion, a chucking opening and a head opening. The disc storage portion has a disc window and a bottom and stores a disc, having first and second sides, therein so that the disc is rotatable in the disc storage portion and that the first side of the disc is exposed. The chucking opening is formed on the bottom of the disc storage portion so as to get the disc chucked externally. The head opening is also formed on the bottom of the disc storage portion so as to allow a head, which reads and/or writes a signal from/on the second side of the disc, to access the second side of the disc. A shutter is supported to, and movable with respect to, the cartridge body so as to expose or cover at least the head opening.
