- The present invention sets forth an implement which enables the user to mix paint, clean the can and can lip, and to clean conventional paint rollers utilizing a hand drill. The implement is selectively adjustable to be configured to mix paint in large and small containers and to support a paint roller for cleaning, thereby being capable of providing several functions. The implement is provided with a paddle member that is perforated and of a geometric form to enhance mixing. A paint can remover and a paint can rim cleaning device are also incorporated into the implement. A single implement serves the six functions of opening paint cans, stirring paint in large or small containers, cleaning the groove around the lip of a paint can, cleaning a paint roller, and as a spatula to aid in removing paint from a can.
- A temporary aqueous aerosol paint composition comprising an aqueous paint component, including an aqueous solvent, and an aqueous propellant component. At least one embodiment of the temporary aerosol paint composition includes an amount of water, and more particularly, an amount of filtered water, as the aqueous solvent. In addition, the temporary aerosol paint composition may include an amount of an aqueous dimethyl ether compound as the aqueous propellant component. The temporary aerosol paint composition is formulated to minimize and/or eliminate the hazards presented by the various volatile and non-volatile organic compounds present in known aerosol paint compositions, by eliminating or minimizing the inclusion of such organic compounds. Any one of a number of pigment compounds may be utilized in the temporary aqueous aerosol paint composition, including flourescent colored pigment compounds, thereby permitting use in a variety of applications. A simplified method for preparing a temporary aqueous aerosol paint composition includes adding the various compounds to a reaction vessel in which a plurality of mixing cycles are accomplished.
- A method for matching paint on a vehicle, having the steps of receiving in a central computer vehicle identifying information relating to a specific vehicle and a first set of paint color data from a portion of the body of the vehicle. The central computer includes a processor, an electronic storage device in which a database is stored. The database includes vehicle identifying information for a plurality of vehicles, paint color data associated with respective vehicle identifying information, and paint formulations associated with paint color data. Software in the computer determines a best match paint formulation which relates submitted vehicle identifying information and submitted paint data to a paint formulation and compares the matched paint color data to the submitted paint color data so as to establish accuracy data. The accuracy data is applied to the process so as to be implemented in subsequent paint formulation identifications.
