- A cosmetic kit has a backing portion on which there are receptacles for containing cosmetics. Each receptacle contains a cosmetic suitable for use on a different portion of the human face. The receptacles themselves or a mask which overlies the receptacles are in shapes which pictorially represent the portion of the face on which each cosmetic is to be used. Thus the user need merely use the cosmetic in the receptacle pictorially representing the portion of the face on which the cosmetic is to be applied; assuring that the proper cosmetic is used for each portion of the face. The kit may be contained in a carrying case which includes a mirror and a receptacle for cosmetic applicators.
- Disclosed is a fluid cosmetic composition comprising a sebum-absorbing calcium silicate. These cosmetic compositions provide effective, long-lasting facial cosmetic coverage that is highly resistant to the sebum-caused deterioration that results in the discoloration and fading typically experienced by conventional cosmetic compositions after a sustained period of use. The cosmetic composition may be in the form of a créme, lotion, gel, semi-solid, dispersion, suspension, foam, mousse or spray.
- A device includes isolated hoppers defining independent passageways converging downwardly towards a central and unitary area. A conveyor belt assembly is disposed subjacent to the hoppers, traverses the passageways, and travels along a linear path passing through the unitary area. A mechanism is included for depositing a napkin onto the conveyor belt. The napkin depositing mechanism is connected to the conveyor belt assembly and is spaced adjacent to one end portion thereof. A mechanism is included for simultaneously folding the napkin and horizontally stacking the eating utensils such that the napkin becomes folded about the eating utensils before being ejected from the simultaneous folding mechanism. A receiving conveyor belt assembly is disposed beneath the simultaneous folding mechanism for transporting the combined napkin and eating utensils. A storage bin is laid adjacent to the receiving conveyor belt and houses the combined napkin and eating utensils for transit.
- In an application device for applying a liquid, gel-like or pasty cosmetic to the skin, it is provided, with a view to improved handling and simple design, that the application device comprises a container for the cosmetic; an applicator which is connected to the container via at least one supply channel; a piston which is displaceably guided in the container for delivery of the cosmetic towards the applicator; and an operating mechanism for operating the piston.
- Cosmetic brush (11) is extensibly received in cosmetic container to pick up cosmetic (2) from lid (1) without being damaged. Lid (1) is engaged with and disengaged from body (10) without fail. Body (10) is constructed of: lift sleeve (14) holding the brush (11); intermediate sleeve (15) with neck (17) cooperating with lid (1) to realize threadable engagement therebetween; and outer sleeve (25) with spiral groove (26) which is a part of a telescopic mechanism for extending and retracting the brush (11) from intermediate sleeve (15). Threadable engagement is larger in frictional resistance than the telescopic mechanism to make it possible: to move first the brush (11) when the lid (1) is rotated; and, then to disengage the lid (1) from intermediate sleeve (15) after the brush (11) press-contacts with the cosmetic (2) and is prevented from moving upward.
