  1. A computer-implemented method and system allows a remote computer user to listen to teams in a race event. The method includes receiving audio signals from a plurality of audio sources at the race event; transmitting at least some of the audio signals to a remote computer; and filtering the audio signals as a function of the source of at least some of the audio signals so that at least some of the audio signals are not played by the remote computer and heard by the user.
  2. The present invention provides a system and method that mitigates audio interference before and/or during an audio session, and in particular, when a high quality audio session is desired. The system includes an audio component that determines whether an audio session is to commence and a control component that interfaces with the audio component and reduces activity associated with a subset of a plurality of computer components that may interfere with the audio session. The system may also include at least one power management system to facilitate reducing power consumption and activity of the computer component(s). The method involves determining that an audio session is desired and switching one or more computer components to a minimal interference mode prior to commencing the audio session. The method may also involve calling at least on API to facilitate the switching of the computer component(s).
  3. A codec in a processor-based system handles at least two separate audio programs at the same time. This may be useful, for example, for simultaneously playing one audio program while recording another audio program. A first digital to analog converter pair may be coupled to a first mixer and a second digital to analog converter pair may include a second mixer. Thus, two separate audio programs may be handled at the same time, each by a separate digital to analog converter and mixer.
  4. A thematic vehicle interior (10) is provided. The thematic vehicle interior (10) is comprised of a passenger cabin, a cosmetic trim (14) for attachment to the vehicle (12) within the passenger cabin, and a feedback system (16) for playing one or more audio programs. The audio programs are utilized in combination with the cosmetic trim (14) for creating a predetermined theme. Additionally, the audio programs are also utilized for indicating one or more predetermined vehicle conditions. The vehicle conditions include one or more of the following: an open-door condition, a low-fuel condition, a maintenance-required condition, a low-tire-pressure condition, a headlights-on condition, a key-in-the-ignition condition, an unfastened-seatbelt condition, an engine-start condition, and an engine-shut-off condition. Also, the thematic vehicle interior (10) includes a sensor (18) for detecting a vehicle condition and actuating the feedback system (16) to play the audio program.
  5. An electronic control unit for a vehicle-mounted engine system has a computer and a single program memory. The program memory stores a plurality of functionally finely classified programs, which includes programs to be used in common between a normal engine control mode and a fuel evaporation leak diagnosis mode. The plurality of programs is associated, as a reference table, with the plurality of different control modes by separating programs required for the respective control modes. The computer sequentially executes only programs associated with the designated control mode, when any of the control modes is designated.
