- A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide a distributed computing system delivering and manipulating electronic model images to end users. One aspect of the present invention includes a method for providing electronic delivery of electronic model images. The method generates one or more electronic model images, a portion of the electronic model images being generated from scanned electronic data of a physical object, stores the electronic model images within computer readable memory of a server-based computing system, delivers the electronic model images to a remote client computer over a distributed communications network, manipulates the electronic model images upon the remote client computer, and performs analysis and a course of action using the manipulated electronic model images. The electronic model images comprise in part a polygonal mesh representation of the physical object.
- A method of dental restoration treatment utilizing the electronic delivery of an electronic model image of the dental restoration treatment. The method includes generating an electronic model image of a proposed dental restoration treatment; storing the electronic model image within computer readable memory of a server-based computing system; delivering the electronic model image to a doctor having a remote client computer over a distributed communications network; and displaying the electronic model image upon the remote client computer and performing analysis of the electronic model image. The doctor is provided with a variety of viewing and analysis tools, and can add notations to the electronic model image.
- The manufacturing method for an electronic circuit device comprises attaching an electronic circuit assembly including a circuit substrate with electronic circuit elements attached to a base, joining lead terminals integrally with the base via frames before molding the lead terminals composed of a different material from that of the base with mold resin, electrically connecting the lead terminals to the electronic circuit assembly, molding the electronic circuit assembly, lead terminals, and flange with mold resin in a batch partially excluding the flange and lead terminals installed on the base, and separating and removing the frames from the lead terminals and base after the molding with the mold resin.
- An electronic device is moved into a first position such that terminals of the electronic device are adjacent probes for making electrical contact with the terminals. The electronic device is then moved horizontally or diagonally such that the terminals contact the probes. Test data are then communicated to and from the electronic device through the probes.
- An electronic trading system includes a plurality of trader terminals for receiving credit parameter data, arbitrage parameter data, and trading data from a trading entity, and a computer connected to the plurality of trader terminals via a communications network that receives and stores the credit parameter data and the trading data. The system also includes a detector circuit or program for automatically detecting an available arbitrage opportunity including a plurality of trades based on the credit parameter data, the arbitrage parameter data, and the trading data. A similar electronic trading system includes an automatic name switch feature wherein the plurality of trader terminals receive name switch parameter data, credit parameter data, and trading data from the trading entity. A circuit or program automatically detects and executes available name switch transactions based on the credit parameter data, the name switch parameter data, and the trading data.
