- In a telecommunications system, a switching device selectively applies one of two different voltage supplies to a common node. A first of the voltage supplies is coupled to the common node by a first switch and a second of the voltage supplies is coupled to the common node by a second switch. The switching device includes the following elements. A difference detector detects a difference between the first and second voltage supplies. A control circuit selectively enables one of the first and second switches and disables the other of the first and second switches, for switching between the first and second voltage supplies in response to the difference detector. The control circuit performs the switching between the first and second voltage supplies when the detected difference falls below a predetermined threshold.
- A single power distribution board having pin coded connectors may be used for both AC and DC power distribution to appropriate AC and/or DC power supplies in an information handling system. A common conductive layer may be used for either AC neutral or DC power supply return so as to eliminate one conductive layer in the power distribution board. Alternatively, total isolation of AC and DC power source inputs allow both AC and DC power supplies to operate together in a robust, redundant fashion. The DC power supplies in combination with a battery system may be used as an inexpensive uninterruptable power supply for the information handling system. Various DC and/or AC source voltages and frequencies may be coupled to appropriate power supplies through the pin coded connectors.
- An appliance supply distribution and dispensing system and method for distributing appliance supplies to a home or business and which involves a computerized system which facilitates dispensing or using one or more supplies from an appliance. The computerized system monitors the supply level(s) and, when necessary, automatically orders and delivers additional supplies. In addition, the computerized system automatically detects dispensing, use or appliance problems and orders and arranges for repair service.
- Embodiments of the present invention include hybrid ink delivery systems which allow a flexible arrangement of free ink supplies to be connected to multiple printhead assemblies, while preventing printhead deprime or drooling during setup, and provide control and verification of ink supply replacement through the use of integral memory components on the in supplies.
- In a power supply disconnection cell, a power supply connection switch is added in parallel to a protection transistor having a fixed gate. The power supply connection switch electrically connects or disconnects a plurality of power supplies according to a control signal externally input through an external control terminal. In a WLBI process, a plurality of power supplies are connected by the power supply connection switch, and therefore, a voltage is applied to other power supply pads by voltage application to a specific input terminal. After the WLBI process, the power supplies are disconnected, and electric charges produced by an abnormal voltage, such as a surge, or the like, are released by the protection transistor provided between the power supplies, whereby breakdown of a semiconductor device is prevented.
