  1. A plurality of fiber optic cables are manufactured as an assembly of fiber optic cables that are later separated into independent fiber optic cables. A method of manufacturing the fiber optic cable assembly is also described. A jacketing cover is extruded over components of the fiber optic cables with a portion connecting the fiber optic cables, and the fiber optic cables can separated from each other by tearing, cutting, or removing a filling element between the fiber optic cables.
  2. A system and method for routing and segregating cables is provided. An embodiment includes a support member having a plurality of cable trays coupled thereto. The cable trays may be arranged in a tiered-manner such that cable receiving portions of the cable trays extend farther than an adjacent cable tray in a longitudinal direction. Cables may then be routed to individual cable trays, which route the cables to a second location. In this manner, the cables in each cable tray are segregated from cables in other cable trays, thereby reducing the twisting of the cables.
  3. A charging apparatus having a charging device for contact charging a rotatable member. The charging device rotates upon reception of a drive force from a drive force transmitting device. The axis of rotation of the charging roller and the axis of rotation of the photoreceptor drum intersect each other. It is a characteristic of the invention that a force received by the charging device from the drive force transmitting device and a force generated between charging device and the rotatable member are oriented in the same direction. With this arrangement, the thrust position of the charging device when the charging device is driven is stabilized.
  4. A serial charger with the function of automatic change of charging speed for NiCd/NiH batteries is provided where the different charging modes for multi-speed (four speed) charging process, two speed charging process or two speed charging process in two charging phases can be achieved by use of the speed-changing principle with a low power consumption of an exchange power unit. The finished charging time of each battery varies inversely as the number of the detected batteries to be charged. No matter whether the charging voltage is variable or constant, the charging current varies automatically to achieve the speedy charging process or the normal charging process even under low power consumption. Accordingly, an exchange power unit can be reduced in size and built in the charger so that the charger is convenient to carry and the finished charging time can be adjusted automatically according to the demand of battery consumption of customers.
  5. As outermost coating-like layer(s) of charging roller(s) is or are made to contact and/or slide against photosensitive drum(s), charge is applied from the outermost coating-like layer(s) to the photosensitive drum(s), charging the photosensitive drum(s). This being the case, resistance of the outermost coating-like layer(s) of the charging roller(s) fluctuates, and surface(s) thereof become scratched and so forth, and gradually deteriorate. Moreover, if remedial action is not taken, charging capability of the charging roller(s) may decrease, leading to nonuniformity in charging of the photosensitive drum(s) and causing lowering of image quality and/or reduction in service life of the photosensitive drum(s). The outermost coating-like layer(s) of the charging roller(s) is or are therefore periodically stripped off therefrom to rejuvenate the charging roller surface(s).
