- Flash ROMs operate at a speed slower than that of a CPU. In order to raise the operating speed of a single-chip microcomputer, therefore, interleaving is adopted and a plurality of flash ROMs are operated alternately to obtain an apparent operating speed equivalent to that of a CPU. Read clock generating circuits are placed in close proximity to clock input pins of respective ones of the flash ROMs and supply the flash ROMs with read clocks obtained by dividing down the frequency of a system clock. Delay ascribable to wiring is eliminated from the read clocks as a result.
- A method for making a dental appliance is disclosed, including affixing a first blank piece of material to a second blank piece of material forming a combined blank. The first blank piece of material is substantially softer than the second blank piece of material. The combined blank is then placed over a dental cast with the first blank piece of material faces the dental cast, and a dental appliance is formed by using a thermal form suck-down of the combined blank over the dental cast with the first blank piece of material in contact with the teeth of the dental cast. A dental appliance for placement on the teeth of a user is disclosed, including a first layer, created from the first piece of blank material, for direct contact with the teeth of the user, and a second layer, created from the second piece of blank material, affixed over the first layer. The first layer is substantially softer than the second layer.
- A method of producing a hinged-lid packet of cigarettes having an inner wrapping formed by folding a first blank of foil about a group of cigarettes: an outer package formed from a second blank folded about the inner wrapping to define a body and a lid hinged to each other; and a collar formed by folding a third blank and interposed between the inner wrapping and the outer package; the method including the steps of juxtaposing and connecting the third blank to the first blank in laterally offset mutual positions; forming on the first blank fold lines located as a function of the aforementioned mutual positions; and simultaneously folding the first and third blank about the group of cigarettes.
- The invention teaches a container formed from a synthetic substrate. The synthetic substrate is substantially tear resistant and includes polyethylene and inorganic minerals. The synthetic substrate is cut and scored to form a container blank of desired shapes and sizes. At least some portion of the container blank is coated with an adhesive. The container blank is folded and or otherwise manipulated so that at least some portion of the container blank is secured to another surface of the container blank to form a partially closed container with at least one opening.
- The invention relates to ammunition for fire and pneumatic smoothbore weapon and can be used for producing bullets for hunting and sporting guns. The inventive method consists in deforming the rear part of a tubular blank in such a way that an aerodynamic empennage is formed and in arranging a core in the front part of said blank. The core is introduced into the tubular blank prior to deforming and is fixed in said blank by deforming the front and rear parts thereof. Deformation is carried out by pressing the blank wall without modifying the thickness thereof. The deformation of the tubular blank can be carried out by longitudinally clamping said blank between two crimping matrixes. Said core is embodied in such a way that an extractor in the form of an aerodynamic needle is formed in the material thereof, the core being inserted when said extractor is disposed outside the internal volume of the blank.
