- A retractable boat bumper system includes a bumper plate and a positioning mechanism. The bumper plate is selectively operated between a first, retracted position wherein the bumper plate is proximate the boat and a second, extended position wherein the bumper plate is disposed away from the boat. When the boat is secured to a dock or the like, the bumper plate is disposed within the second position and protects the boat from the dock. When underway, the bumper plate is disposed within the first position such that the bumper plate is out of the way.
- A vehicle bumper includes a bumper beam, a bumper face and an energy-absorbing member provided between the bumper beam and the bumper face. The energy-absorbing member has an L-shaped cross-section and includes a head of a front upper portion protruding upward. A space is formed between the bumper beam and the head. When a collision load acts on the bumper face, the head is deformed toward the space, thus absorbing the impact energy.
- The present discloses a semiautomatic finger protection device, which comprising a bumper positioned between an outer surface of the door and an doorpost when the door is closed, and positioned in a gap on the hinge side of the door when the door is opened; a securing member to position the bumper; and a connecting member having the two ends retractably connected with said bumper and said securing member respectively. - The present invention provides a rate stiffening jounce bumper assembly, including a cup member having a large-headed mushroom stud which is inserted into the cup-shaped member and overmolded with an elastomeric bumper material. The head portion of the mushroom stud forms a shelf against which the bumper material is compressed such that the head portion effectively shortens the bumper spring thereby providing a stiffer spring rate to be obtained with a taller jounce bumper assembly.
- A front bumper structure for a vehicle, which protects not only the vehicle and passengers in the vehicle when the vehicle collides with another vehicle or object, but also a pedestrian when the vehicle collides with a pedestrian. Since a lower reinforcing member is protruded directly from a bumper cover and at most two carrier-connected portions are formed on the bumper cover, the front bumper structure reduces its weight due to the omission of any stiffener, reduces the production costs due to the reduction in material costs, decreases the man-hours in the manufacturing of the front bumper structure, and increases the safety of the pedestrian due to the use of a horizontal reinforcing rib rigidly supporting the corner portions of the bumper cover.
