  1. The invention relates to a bottle injector for injecting fluids. The present invention uses a bottle reservoir connected to a long, flexible tube, which is in turn attached to a connector. A plunger mechanism expels the fluid located within the reservoir through the tube and connector. One use for the bottle injector can be to inject tire sealant into a tire. The connector can have two different threads, Schrader and Presta, to accommodate both types of valve stems currently found on tires. The Schrader type threads are larger than the Presta type threads and thus the Presta type threads are positioned further into the connector than the Schrader type threads. The larger, Schrader type threads are used on automobiles and less expensive bicycles. The Presta threads are more common in Europe and are used on most high performance bicycles. One of the main advantages of the present invention is that an exact amount of fluid can be dispensed; there is no waste because spillage is eliminated and the device uses no external power source to dispense the fluid. The bottle injector can be used on bicycles, utility vehicles, ATVs, lawn and garden tractors, wheelbarrows, golf carts and even automobiles. The bottle injector is not limited to the injection of tire sealant into tires. The connector with threads can be replaced with other types of connectors to allow for other applications.
  2. An extendable ramp apparatus is provided for automatically extending a ramp. The apparatus comprises a generally rectangular frame with a track for movement of a carriage pivotally connected to a ramp along the track. The ramp pivots downwardly as it is extends from the frame until it encounters a surface. A bidirectional motor is provided with a cabling arrangement to reciprocate the carriage and ramp along the track. Shock absorbers may slow the carriage movement as the ramp is extended so that hard contact of the ramp with a surface is minimized. An innovative capstan arrangement provides more rapid movement of the ramp as it retracts but provides more power during ramp extension, so that vertical movement of the ramp is slowed as the ramp is extended. The apparatus may find application in vehicles such as trucks, vans, and boats whenever it is desired to move goods or people between surfaces of different heights, such as a truck bed and the ground.
  3. A continuously variable transmission is disclosed for use in rotationally or linearly powered machines and vehicles. The single axle transmission provides a simple manual shifting method for the user. An additional embodiment is disclosed which shifts automatically dependent upon the rotational speed of the wheel. Further, the practical commercialization of traction roller transmissions requires improvements in the reliability, ease of shifting, function and simplicity of the transmission. The disclosed transmission may be used in vehicles such as automobiles, motorcycles, and bicycles. The transmission may, for example, be driven by a power transfer mechanism such as a sprocket, gear, pulley or lever, optionally driving a one way clutch attached at one end of the main shaft.
