- A protective kneepad for detachable attachment to an attaching portion mounted on the exterior of the workman's pants in which the kneepad is larger lengthwise of the pants that the attaching portion for a range of adjustment both longitudinally and laterally greater than the dimensions of the detaching portion. The kneepad is detachable from the work pants allowing ease of movement and laundry of the work pants without any interference from the kneepad. The method of attachment of the system to the pants of a workman is simple and requires no special skills. Adhesion of the attaching portion to the workpants is enhanced by the application of heat.
- An aesthetically pleasing fastener for allowing a desired height of a hem of a pants leg to be maintained and repeatedly changed without compromising structural integrity of the pants leg or having to cooperate with a shoe so as to allow the fastener to be used without a need for a shoe. The aesthetically pleasing fastener includes a clip and a covering. The covering covers the clip. The clip receives the hem of the pants leg and allows the desired height of the hem of the pants leg to be maintained and repeatedly changed without compromising the structural integrity of the pants leg or having to cooperate with a shoe so as to allow the fastener to be used without a need for a shoe, while the covering makes the aesthetically pleasing fastener aesthetically pleasing.
- Absorbent product of pants-like shape, such as incontinence pants, including an elastic waist portion, an absorbent element, and a liquidtight outer layer which is intended to enclose the absorbent element on at least that side thereof which faces away from the wearer during use of the article. The elastic waist portion is made from an elastic first piece which is essentially rectangular and is intended to form the rear portion and side portions of the pants-like product. A second piece forms the front portion and crotch portion of the pants-like product. The second piece is elongate, and the width thereof is, at least in the crotch portion, smaller than the length of the first piece. The second piece is arranged with its longitudinal direction at right angles in relation to the longitudinal direction of the first piece and is connected by a first end portion to one longitudinal edge portion of the first piece. One end portion of the first piece is connected to a first side edge portion of the second piece, and the other end portion of the first piece is connected to a second side edge portion of the second piece. The absorbent element is in its entirety arranged on the second piece.
- The work pants include a right leg member and a left leg member. Each of the leg members has a lower edge, a knee section extending downwardly from the lower edge of each of the leg members, padded material housed within each of the knee sections, and a plurality of straps where each of the straps has a clip attached thereto so that the straps may be releasably attached to the worker's shoes. The work pants may be in the form of shorts.
- Maternity wear of the invention accommodates the changing shape of a woman's body during pregnancy, minimizing the need for maternity clothes. In one aspect of the invention, pants or a skirt are worn with the upper end unfastened so as to conform to the shape of the swelling torso in pregnancy, and an elastic band shaped similarly to a tube top is worn generally around the waist, so as to overlap the top of the unfastened pants or skirt and retain them on the body. A top, such as a blouse or shirt, can be worn with its tail end extending over the band. In another aspect of the invention, too-large maternity clothing is worn with the band garment engaged over the upper end. If desired the band garment can be folded over on itself, thus doubling its thickness.
