  1. A system and method for reconciling the differences in pricing breakout definitions between telecommunication carriers so that rates and codes can be communicated between carriers in a format that is compatible with the systems of the respective carriers.
  2. A method for biological purification of water such as wastewater using a carrier material is disclosed, wherein the water is treated in a reactor containing carriers for biofilm growth. These carriers are kept in movement in the water and are designed so that they have well-defined passages or compartments providing a surface for biofilm growth, which is protected against collision with the surfaces of other carriers. The carriers have a width or diameter greater than 20 mm, the protected area is larger than 1000 m
  3. A method and implementation for network communication is disclosed where one or more network access points are provided for communicating with a plurality of clients over a plurality of carriers. An arrangement is provided for monitoring on or more dedicated carriers for new clients seeking to associate with the network. The new client is detected over the carrier or carriers and he new client is then associated to the network over the carrier or carriers.
  4. A work transfer apparatus for transferring a work within a press or between presses is provided which includes at least a pair of lift beams and carriers movable along a longitudinal direction of the lift beams. A pair of guides are provided on the carriers, and a pair of sub-carriers are movable along the guides in a carrier moving direction by a linear motor which moves the pair of sub-carriers in the carrier moving direction. A cross bar is laterally spanned between the sub-carriers and is provided with a work holding unit which is capable of holding the work.
  5. The invention provides a solid-state imaging device including a pixel array having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix. The pixels can each include a photo diode that generates carriers depending on the intensity of incident light, an accumulation region that accumulates the generated holes, an output transistor that outputs a signal according to threshold voltage that changes depending on the number of carriers accumulated in the accumulation region, and a clear transistor that discharges carriers accumulated in the accumulation region. One of semiconductor regions that form the photo diode and the accumulation region function as a source region of the clear transistor. In the accumulation period, if generated carriers spill from the source region of the clear transistor in the accumulation period, the clear transistor discharges the spilled carriers through a channel of the clear transistor in order to prevent the spilled carriers from entering the accumulation region of adjacent pixels. Accordingly, a technique where carriers in an accumulation region can be easily discharged.
