The torque wrench with quick release gear set is a system having a rotary actuator drive unit, which is attachable to a planetary drive gear set by a quick-release cylindrical adapter and collar so as to provide quick interchangeability of gear sets without the use of tools. The rotary actuator actuates the planetary gear set by means of a drive shaft connection through the quick-release cylindrical adaptor to engage a corresponding input gear drive shaft.
